Got CTSC!! (new blower design) <Big Smile>

As stated in the original post "stage II kit (bigger injectors, smaller pulley and a black-box)". According to Shad, the black-box will probably originate from the '04-05 Acura TL CTSC kit which allows for fuel and injector duration/timing remapping.

So in other words, it is the current Hi-boost kit.

Not sure what the current Hi-boost kit includes. But it wouldn't be the same kit because 1) new AutoRotor blower makes more boost than the Whipple blower running at the same RPM; 2) there will be a new type of electronic device used to remap fuel and injector params; 3) may have different sized injectors; 4) different size pulley; and 5) maybe be capable of making more HP.

Does it come in a polished version? I think it would look very nice polished, at least part of it.

At the time I was at CT, I think the AutoRotor only came in black. But you could always call CT to find out for the rest of us. :D

Obviously not exactly the same.

The Hi-boost kit comes with 1) fuel remapped 2) larger injectors 3) smaller pulley.

The only thing new would be if they can put an aftercooler on it.

Oh I don't disagree with that.

Romeo's white car has the quietest CTSC I've ever heard...or I should say didn't hear. It sounded NA. He claims it was all the ZMAX additive he used...Romeo is into additives

off topic but... do all centrifugal blowers sound like they have tolerances +/-
1/4"? it is not the drive from the bbsc but the paxton making the noise. is the sos blower quieter?

I finally saw his car. It was very quiet... cause it was all in peices! :)

Wow, most impressive dyno numbers.
That really gives me inspiration do install a Comptech blower down the line on my 02 ! Especially now that I have run out of power mods and want even more power ! Heh.

Yeah, and the BBSC is quiet, right?
Sounds like a rattle-trap!
i can't t be the only one who likes the way it sounds...

I actually prefer it... cause anyone who knows what a SC sounds like, will know my car has a trick or two up its sleeve. :)

the only thing i don't like sound wise is at extreme low RPM (3-400) like when i back out the car, the rattling gets very loud... otherwise just a quiet rattlesqueakrattlesqueakrattlesqueak... makes my tummy feel all warm and fuzzy...

The AutoRotor has a unique sound of its own that anyone who knows about SC's will know what it is. :D I have a SC'd Acura CLS that has that loud coffee grinder sound which I get tired of hearing. I prefer the way the AutoRotor sounds; more refined and smooth.

i had a guy come up to me one time and ask what the sound was. When I told him it was a SC, he asked if it came that way stock.when I said that it was aftermarket, he said "wow.. god bless you!"

all i could do was laugh...

I think its more from the drive assembly than the blower itself, but I agree about the sound being addictive. :)

Gee, something looks strangely familiar about the CompTech USA announcement regarding the new Autorotor blower for the CTSC kit.

Pretty cool they are using your car.

I would question this though after seeing the dyno.

"New NSX Supercharger Details: New Autorotor unit replaces Lysholm/Whipple unit, provides 10-15% More Horsepower"

Those are pretty large claims.

They have corrected #'s on the conservative side. My original baseline was about 24 WHP more. But there was a 90 WHP gain which is very good.

Heard that at XPO and im ready for a little more power! SOS just released a "upgrade kit" as well. Its great that for such a limited market car... tons of new parts and companies are pumping out NSX parts left and right. NSXPO 2006 will be nuts

So do you have bigger injectors in your car now, NSX-Tuner?

We just did a baseline for mine..

I/H/E:
265 hp
210 lb tq.

I got the hi-boost kit from SOS but the hi boost pulley included doesn't seem to match up to the new Autorotor blower

Chirs...help......S.O.S.

after install and tuning, I'll let you know the new dyno numbers.

No big injectors. Although, CT did experiment with them for the new Autorotor blower which added 25 WHP using the original pulley size from SC kit. Because the new blower design (with same displacement) is much more efficient than the Whipple blower, it made 7 PSI boost with the pulley from the 6 PSI kit. That put my car at about 360 WHP. But my car ran way too rich in the mid range, so CT went back to the OEM injectors and used a larger pulley which put boost back to 6 PSI.

My car stock originally had a baseline of 270 WHP. However, CT corrected the numbers downward to 247/194 WHP/TQ. And with I/H/E, 266/197 WHP/TQ.

As far as a HBP for the new Autorotor blower, you better talk with Shad at CT. If you just use the original pulley that came the 6 PSI CTSC kit with the Whipple blower, that would make 7 PSI with the Autorotor; but some tuning will be required.

Ok, I understand now.

So the pulley that is on your car now, is not the same pulley included in my kit. Or did Shad use your pulley for the baseline on the new kits?

The hi-boost pulley won't work, so I am gonna go with the standard 6 lb pulley in the kit w/ the AEM set-up. I am hoping to get some good results from that.
