Good deal on Tires in the Bay area

I am here for a short period of time and in need of a set of tires. Where do you guys go for a great deal and service? Closer to Livermore would purrrrfect!!! :tongue:

work related.....my rear tire blew out a couple of nights ago. Now I need to change both rear. Instead of just walking into the tire shop, thought I ask. How are yah budd?

Sorry, Livermore isn't my area... but there are some locals closer to that area. Maybe one will chime in...

FWIW, my orders from Tire Rack usually end up being one day deliveries (after the order is processed) up here... two days at the most. (They ship from their Reno warehouse).

If you only *need* to replace the blowout, I have a (single) OEM Bridgestone Potenza RE010 (245/40ZR17) with about 50% tread sitting in my garage. I think it's the Right side, but I forget at the moment.

You could try the Costco in Livermore they may or may not have the size you are looking for. BTW - what size are you looking for? Is this for your NSX or a different car?

I always get good service from Les Schwaab......which is where I take my NSX but thats in Tracy.

Ok there is a Les Schwaab in Livermore off the 580 on North Livermore exit.

oh.... yeah.....there are a few scary parts. My office is in Hayward but its in a reasonably nice part of hayward.

You can find good deals from the used tires place.

The NSX gets new tires since I don't drive it that much, but I pay $50~ for each used tire that is worth at least 4x of that if they were new. Tires would include RE050 and Pilot Sport PS2 with 80 - 90% tread.

What's nice about that is that I can try them out to see if I like them without committing hundreds of $$$.

Besides with all the massive HP/TQ that I have and all of the burn outs, it makes no sense to spend that sorta $$$ if I run through tires with every oil change........

Hey, Livermore, my old 'hood.

Go to America's Tire in Dublin. It's about 5-10 minutes west of Livermore. I always got good prices and service from them. Sometimes they would even match Tire Rack prices.

Thanks for the replies and emails. This is why I love our prime members. I ended up getting it from America's Tires in Livermore with our Socal NSX discount. James is the manager there. I got treated there very well.

I'll be back in here in a week or so.....lets get together for dinner, a drink, or something. ..........or if we can get 9 guys together, we can get our own table at a local casino in livermore and play poker, have a few drinks, and BS. I hung in Livermore Casino a few times and love the family atmosphere. good foods too. Strongly recommend it.
