Going to Vegas tomorrow.. what should I do?

It will be my first time going to Las Vegas and I can hardly wait.

What should I not miss doing there?

Looks like there are some cool car related things.

Hey dude,

I know that Tan "bluensx" is going to be in vegas the weekend of 10-18-02. He is going with an S2000 crew since he also owns one. You might want hook up with those car nuts since they are going to make the rounds with the gentlemens club establishments. You may want to check the Southwestern Forum and get the topic, you cant miss it. have fun. i was supposed to go but got no dough.

As far as places and things to do, I would check out citysearch.com and check out the hottest and cool spots in vegas. it will give you reviews of what visitors and locals like.

Netviper are you going to the SEMA show? I have an extra pass if you want to tag along. First time to Vegas huh? I would love to see how wide open your eyes are gonna be when you cruise down the strip at night, god i hate the strip! Have fun and let me know if you wanna go to sema.
 
SEMA is not till the 5th thru the 10th of next month,Youll have no problem finding plenty to do just stop at each major hotel/casino on the strip and you'll have a weeks worth of stuff minimum just in that.In the evening the water musical thing is awesome at the Bellagio (cant spell)"you'll see alll the people lined up on that corner watching it..The fountain sprays water into the air along w/ the music .(thats amazingly syncronized)like a water ballet.
Go see the "Blue Man Group" at the Luxor hotel.It's awesome!!!

I've got family in Vegas, and I too hate driving through the strip...traffic sucks! I enjoy walking it though, especially now that the weather is getting decent.

Next time I make the trip (I always drive) I'll have to check out the SEMA show

Where are you staying.

Ditto the water show @ Bellagio, stay off the strip if driving. Go to the Rio for the sea food buffet, New York New York for the brisket sandwich, don't play the field if you play craps and if y love football go to one of the larger sports books and hang out all day just for the action. Get their early so you'll get a seat (8AM) it is great. I would go to Vegas every weekend just for the football if I could.
 
Netviper- arent you into bodybuilding?? The Mr.olympia is that weekend which is why I am going- the expo is real cool...not to mention the GORGEOUS fitness girls..not the buff ones...the bikini model type =)
 
I just got back from Vegas 2 days ago. Watch the Bellagio water show from the Eiffel tower across the street at Paris. It's a cool way to watch it. Unless you planned way in advance, I don't think you'll get into "O" or Mystere, they're usually sold out way in advance.

I stayed at Luxor, was nice. It's geeky but I went to the Star Trek thing at Hilton(I believe). I'm not a star trek buff, but it was funny to see all these people in costumes and pretending to be Klingons and Federation officers.
 
So the math geek in me has this advice - if you're a competent card counter or poker player, do that - the long run odds are in your favor. All other "games of chance" will have you losing (in the long run) at the expected rate. So let's be careful out there...
 
Also, it appears to me that all the young hot chicks are mostly at the Hard Rock Hotel...don't know where you're stayin at but if have not booked anywhere yet, that would be my suggestion....and the club I mentioned is really close to there. Have Fun, ITS VEGAS!
 
MYNSX are you coming to Vegas this weekend or to sema in a couple weeks? I would love to see the car sometime in person.

Am I incorrect in that SEMA is "next month"??
Yes we won "Best of show" w/ MYNSX,took 2nd place in the Acura class w/ REDNSX,and took second in sport/performance class w/ the Cobra.
# trophy's and 700.oo thats enough to throw a party!!
I am concidering it(the side skirts)
I'm not sure which ones I'd rather have. www.mynsx.com

Not true in my experience. When I went last year, I got tickets the day before. I even got them from the box office, didn't have to resort to calling my hotel's concierge or a ticket broker.

BTW, whatever type of entertainment you enjoy, you'll find it at Vegas. Rock music, stand-up comedy, Cirque du Soleil, etc. Top names always playing, and easy to get tickets too.

Ya, SEMA is not this weekend, it was just me and a bunch of friends going up there to tear it up. I don't have a lot of $$ so we were waiting for one of our friends to get us free rooms somewhere, but I haven't heard anything, so maybe I'll have to wait to go to Vegas during the SEMA show.
Congrats on all the trophies.
 
Well.. i am in vegas and it is pretty cool.. lots of nice exotic cars for rent... but no NSX's
