Going to my first track event this coming sunday.

so I went and bought the emp fix boot. Its like the one posted above but instead pf screwing toghether, it gets welded together. Working on it right now and im confident it will be a perfect replacement until I get to replacing all the boots as maintenance. Thanks.

I read that other thread and such an informative write up.

After each session I plan on parking my car with wheel chocks (picked a set up yesterday) and letting car cool. Once cool I plan on removing wheels and inspect my wheels/Brakes and suspensiion (in this case that includes boots).

Anytime, that is very unfortunate about your NSX. How did it pan out with your insurance? PM me if preffered. Thanks

You can drain it into a clean tupper wear storage bin then siphon it back into the tranny and re-use it, should'nt be a problem as long as there's no contaminants. Stoked you got it together and are coming out. I was telling the other guys at the last track day (I was drifting in my ae86 and not on the track with the nsx) that i'd never been on the track with another NSX; which is weird for how often I go.

Both Saturday and Sunday were awesome. I had figured that the night event would be more fun parade laps than hard driving, but as soon as I got on the track though I was going for broke. It was a ton of fun, way better lit than last time, and nice cool temps. I was able to run the fastest time of the track in the dark! Yikes!

I skimmed through some of the footage last night while uploading and its suppppper cool. it looks apocalyptic because these huge plumes of smoke and dirt were wafting over the track from the drift event at the oval. You'd go through these clouds while bombing down the back straight and it'd really give you a sense of speed, like lemans at midnight.

Sunday was HOT and my NSX doesn't like hot at all but strangely I was able to better my time from the night before in the midday session while slipping and sliding around in the corners. I took some laps in my brother RSX-s and totally fell in love with the aggression I was able to attack with (i did manage to break a motor mount and spit out his primary 02 sensor in the process :[] ) but it was totally different than driving an NSX at the limit, makes me think I may finally take my daily DC5 wannabe R out the next few times to give the NSX a rest.
Unfortunately due to changes in extremespeeds insurance they were being really strict on the ride-alongs so I wasn't able to get out there to show Adrian any lines, he looked like he was killing it though. once the nerves wear off he was getting in deeper in the brakes and from what I could hear getting the power on early. It was really cool to see some primers out there and meeting some cool people again. Ill throw together some laps from the weekend sometime this week and post it up.

It was nice meeting you Will and your NSX looks sweet and the sounds....the way it sound was beautiful.
Here are some pics from that day. I managed a 1:36.5 on my last session and think keeping my position against a Vette Z06 and M3 pushed me to that. But I know with experience and better brakes I can shave some more of that. :)

Other than boiling brake fluid causing me to lose ALL preassure and temp going up past half mark a tad it handled great and know I know the weak spots for my car in this track.

Next few pics shows me and a Z06 (instructor driver) and a BMW M3 trying to chase me down. After 3 laps I held my spot until I pulled off due to brakes getting hot. Will will also see couple shots of Keith in his Miata as all 3 of us are passing on the straights.

Thats all the pics I have. Might have some videos later on.

Yeah awesome time by the looks of it! I wish I could have joined in on the fun. Hopefully after Sept the wife will let me out of the house to drive!

BTW, what brake fluid did you have in there?

Be careful about those cars behind you, if they're that close they deserve a point by or two just in case.. I know that Z06 and he's pretty fast, unless someone else was driving his car..
