glow lights

I don't care what your race, color, creed, sex, or religion is, either......putting neon lights on cars is idiotic. Do you go to Pep Boys to get your APC body kit for that too?

As for comments on my opinion, you can take them and shove them up your arse. When you post on a public message forum, then I have just as much of a right to be here as you do. If you don't want someone to rain on your parade and slap you upside the head with the "obvious stick," then don't post pics of what amounts to criminal activity perpetrated against cars that have no business with neon lights strapped to their undersides.

Maybe this kind of crap looks cool to people on the ricer forums, but not to many people here. The big difference, of course, is that we are NSX owners like you are and hate to see K-Mart flourescent black light tubes duct-taped to the undersides of our hand-built sports cars.

Once again, I have to ask.....do any of you guys with neon have spinner wheels on your NSX?

have you guys seen the sideskirt lights produced by brabus for various mercedes models?

http://www.germancarfans.com/tuners...view/photo/photo/Mini3/page/1/mercedes/1.html

call me crazy but this actually looks pretty tasteful to me; not overly flashy like those neon tubes, and actually has a 'purpose', quote from the article:

"The BRABUS side sills form an especially efficient aerodynamic transition between the wheelhouses and come with an additional interesting and useful feature: Pushing a button on the keyless-entry remote or pulling on the inside door handles activates four LED lights integrated into the underside of each sill. These lights illuminate the ground next to the car and help avoiding unfortunate missteps into holes or puddles lurking in the dark."

wouldn't mind having that on my NSX, after having heard from mercedes owners who've had them installed on their cars. they say it looks awesome. if it's good enough for an SL, is it good enough for an NSX?? :)

nice pic, Vizal not sure of the point though! :)

Not sure who these ramblings are directed at. Putting lights on your car is a personal choice fair enough, but calling it idiotic is close-minded. I don't know what a pepboys is. Public forums are used to voice your opinion, i'm not doubting that. Your eloquence in response is what could be addressed, other-wise you sound like you are 'from those other forums'. Neons have been around on the old schooler cars since way back, before this 'ricer' labeling ever surfaced. 'Our' hand built sport cars? Heaven forbid we lower ourselves to the level of 'civic 'owners. You sound like some Ferrari owners, 'we' aren't special, its a car! Sounds rather snobbish to me. Someone needs anger management classes
:p

call me crazy
You're crazy! Because a Mercedes has them doesn't give the lighting any less credibility, its the execution that matters! You like it, do it. I won't think any less of you:p

AJNSX , I guess this "Glow Light" thingy are judged depending on what Country or Continent you are in.

Here in America, that "Glow Light" thingy is a "Typical Ricer set up" commonly seen on civics, integras, Accords, Eclipses, lowered Trucks etc. (Fast & Furious crew)

The typical ricer boys/girls wear their "Pants" way below the beltline (looked like they crapped in it)".

Maybe now you can see why most people on this board are de-graded and offended by this mod.

Maybe in "Europe or Asia" its the "in-thing or fad" but here, its a common "ricer mod'.

regards

Yep i know spartan, i just find it silly to be offended and degraded by someone elses choice of car accessory. Especially a mod thats been around for yonks, now that its taken up by the next generation of car modders its deemed offensive. The 'ricer crowd' whats wrong with that? People like a certain aspect of car culture and does it make it less valid than someone else's. Thats a joke. It seems people like to look down on certain sub-genres, make themselves feel better about their own views. Especially with upper -end cars. The good thing about Japan i've noticed is people do whatever they want to any marquee, there isn't as much of a holier than thou attitude.

In Australia it divides people too, but many do it to just jump on the band wagon.

Fashion is also subjective, people were arrested once for having bathers (swim wear) that showed your knees, it too was offensive to the 'conservatives'. People now laugh at the notion but it was taken seriously back then. How about 'twiggy' and the uproar mini skirts caused. Tolerance for anything other than someones taste is at an all time low these days. I find it laughable/frustrating!

Neons are just another option for modifiers, some are well done some are not, just like anything. I just don't think we should berate others just because it offends someone's particular view on what 'they' think a car should be/represent. :)

Variety makes the world interesting :) I'm off to buy some neons:p

As I wrote in a former post it is a ricer mod at least in Germany. I bet you will find zero NSX here with that kind of mod.

I like to see people reflect their personality, and style with their car / truck/ boat, e.t.c. Your car says alot about you, and some of us have more to say than others.I personally believe in the less is more theory, but usually its when I see a car that is over done.We all take chances in some areas and are reserved in others. Seeing an NSX with glow lights may inspire you to have more radical lighting ideas for a car, or inspire you to vomit. Either way you've been inspired. We all have a hell of alot of fun with these beutiful cars dont we!:p
