Global cars of Houston

I can check it out for you tomorrow. Although from the pics, I wouldn't get the car because of the lambo doors ;)

Shoot me a PM with your contact info and what all you want checked out.

Front has been resprayed... the vertical slats are white and should be black. This is a common mistake by someone who doesn't take their time to do it right - ie quickie paint job.

I gave the car a quick once-over while drooling over some other high-end cars there. Most noticeable was very poorly fitting front panels (to the extent that they rubbed on each other near the headlight on one side). Tread carefully on this one.

Special thanks to Matt for taking time on his weekend to check out this piece of crap for me!!! Thanks a million, Mike ps anyone needing help near Philly let me know, this is a great club!!!

Here is my review of the vehicle (I wish I brought my camera to document it):
VIN JH4NA1159NT001090

-Due to the lambo doors, the front fender where the door meets it is messed up. The driver side is worse than the passenger. There is an 1-1 1/2 inch crack in the driver fender along with what is best described as someone taking a bite out of the fender and ripping it upwards. When looking from the rear of the car forward, the front fenders stick out about half an inch from the rest of the car. There are also 3 dings in this same front fender.
-The rear bumper is not properly attached (also the rear valence - gaps).
-There are many chips on the door of the driver side (big ones) that it appears they tried to fill it in with touch up paint vs getting it repainted.
-The rubber piece in between the front bumper to the car sticks out on the driver's side.
-Interior of the car appeared to be in good shape with ok wear on the driver side bolster.
-Both rear rims are rashed and the fronts have many chips on them.
-Front tires are Yokos ES100 while the rears are some brand called Ventus.

I think that's it for now.

Oh NO!!! What happened to my car?! I was the original owner, bought it new from Santa Rosa Acura (Nor Cal) and babied it for five years. Sold it to a guy in San Jose, then lost track of it. Bummer to read what happened to it. :frown:

Thanks for the update.

It does not appear to have the "Lambo" doors anymore, or, could they open regular and Lambo-like on the same set of hinges?

Wow.

Looks like they spent some money on fixing this car up.

I saw this car in person and based on the pics of this latest Ebay ad, it appears to have addressed some of the issues it had before.

MisterNSX,

Were you the one that put the Lambo doors on it?

I definately did not put the Lambo doors on it. For all the years I owned it, I kept it stock except for changing the wheels to chrome TSW EVOs and adding a small antenna in the center/top of the glass hatch for the Nor Cal NSX club frequency two-way radio. I also had the windshield replaced after another NSX kicked-up a rock into it during an NSX club driving event. I put its first 26k miles on it. It was never even in the rain the whole time, I babied it.

Listed again and it looks like they changed the door BACK to the original configuration.

Factory doors --> Lambo Doors --> back to "standard config"

Hope whoever buys it knows.....I'm sure there is some sort of potential problem. Ill fit maybe leak after a few years of use, or something.

Another one that is "not for me" but maybe someone else.

Hello all this is my first post. I just joined a few mins ago. Looking for a pre-owned NSX and I test drove this one today at Global here in Houston. I was hoping if any of you had any more info on this car. I just pm'ed MisterNSX since he was the original owner, also mentioned that the person he sold it to had been in a wreck.

The car drove pretty decent, except the eps being non-existent. I would be pretty OK with that. I intend to get an NSX as a weekend warrior and not for daily usage or too much freeway driving. Just inside the loop in Houston in the midtown/downtown area. Now the EPS does give me some parking probs but that is not a big deal as there's a lot of ample parking in Texas.

The lambo doors are gone and I was told that Global repainted it. The doors did not have any problems, the power window was painfully slow but nothing a new motor cannot fix. Also there was a slight noise from the front of a metal clinging whenever I changed gears. The carfax looks good with no notice of a rollback on mileage. Looks like the timing belt was replaced right under 29K miles.

Does anyone know of a GREAT place where I can take it to get it checked out here in Houston? I am willing to pay whatever the charge is. I did call an Acura dealer and they quoted me $110/- for the checkup - but I don't know if they have an Acura specialist inhouse. Also anyone here in the Houston area willing to help me out by going with me? I would owe you one! Global said that they would let it go for 25K and that the car had been on the lot for 200 plus days.

I am not looking to make any major changes - I have spent hours on the forum looking at reviews and posts. Looks like EPS addition would be expensive and not worth it. Also an aftermarket steering around 320-350mm would do better. Also I LOVE the drop and wheels on ryan1926 and I would love to steal/borrow that look :)

The NSX stole my heart when I was young and has always been one of my dream cars. I just recenytly sold my 99 SLK230 and my daily driver is an 06 Lexus IS250 silver/black.
