Hmmmmmmm, good news and not so good news, but not bad news either....

Surgeon said the bone is healing great and knee is fantastic so I asked if I can start walking and I'm told that I can start "weight bearing with 30lbs" on my leg which means still on crutches. For how long? Another 5 weeks. Why? It was made clear at the beginning that it takes 12 weeks to heal fully and at 8 weeks I can start to walk. Well, damn Dyslexic didn't mean that my interpretation was to toss out the crutches and walk - it meant start to put weight on my leg with the aid of crutches at only 30 lbs, which is not much. Reason - the bone, and where the break is may cave in if full weight is put on before it's fully healed. Complicating the issue is that I already have no cartiledge and have a severed ACL ligament and so it's bone against bone in the knee, and that means it's much easier to allow the collapse inside in case I step wrong or use full walking weight.

Good news - is he's 99% there will be no surgery needed to repair the torn ligaments and I can just do physio as I always have and can start today to get my muscles back.

He assured me I will be good to go jump and be crazy again if I let it heal - so, no question about it, I will. it's not that bad other then not riding my bikes or ATV, and just a bit disappointing that most likely I can't race Mosport in July - a race I've won twice. Oh well, have to amke up for lost time and just go nuts on the ATV or drive the NSX.

7 weeks down and ONLY 5 more to go or sounds better this way: 84 days in total, 50 days already passed, and only 34 more days to go :>))))))))))))

Glad you're healing girl, but you know Lorenzo just got a Motogp second with two fractured ankles:tongue:

Don't get her going!!!!

She'll be on that bike the minute she reads your post!

Yes, I know that and if I was racing full time I would have been on my bike this past weekend winning Calabogie. But since I pay to race, and he gets paid to race - I decided to stay off the toys for a bit longer. Now the F2 was something to watch in the rain and looks the same chaos in the rain as bike racing int he rain - it's an equalizer and it's anyone's game.
