I just put the CR shift knob on my nsx and if I'm not mistaken is almost the same as the NSX-R knob that is over 250.00! have a look for 49.00 plus the secure nut(1.50). I can not seem to tell the difference. same color, same yellow numbers etc.... am I way off?

edit: difference is Ti vs, alum, and different font on numbers....

The primary differences between the two shift-knobs...

- '02+ NSX-R shift-knob is titanium w/ regular-script for the gear engravings

- S2K CR shift-knob is aluminum w/ italic-script for the gear engravings

I just found out the 2009 s2k shift knob is now titanium. So does that mean that there is now no difference and will it replace my stock shift knob in my 97?

For the NSX-R shift knob, it appears you need a different shift lever (according to the SOS website). Did you use the CR shift knob with the stock NSX lever? Does it sit higher than the stock knob?

Aluminum is lighter than Ti so I would stick with that anyway. ;)

I have a JDM DC5/RSX 6-speed shifter and I tried screwing it on for kicks but it dont fit =(

I thought the thread pitch is the same for all Hondas/Acuras, M10 x 1.5

It's what I used. Just screwed it on. Looks DEAD NUTS on NSX-R. Can't tell the diff.

Nice to hear that the DC2 knob works, and its titanium! How did you attach it to the shift boot?

I used a piece of 1/2 inch hose slid through boot over shifter about 3 inches long sticks out about 1/8 inch above boot looks great. I used a 2004 i think s2000 knob leather/aluminum. Shorted throw over oem and looks oem and now i have 6 speeds!
