Fuel/ volt meter- discontinued?

Does anyone know where I can buy a new volt/fuel meter for the instrument cluster? I checked with acura and they said the replacement part has been discontinued. Why would they do that?

Yes, for some odd reason, it's discontinued! I guess our car is really that old!

A volt meter from a 2004 parts bin won't work??? They can't be that much different...

I thought they're all the same, but apparently, according to Niello Acura, the fuel/volt meter has a diff part# after '92.

I mixed and matched my cluster with EU-spec stuff (I think it was from a 95) and it all plug 'n played correctly.

I suspect they just upgraded the basic part...

I ended up repairing my own fuel meter. Ended up being a single strand broken wire on the back on the fuel gauge. I re- soldered it and now it works. Dont ever over tighten those screws that hold on the fuel/volt meter from the back, thats how it ended breaking the wire.
