Fuel Pressure Guage Install and Question?

I replaced my fuel filter and thought I may as well add a guage while I'm at it. So I got this one off of eBay, it works and is easy to install (it reads psi and kg). Atleast I think it works. The pressure at idle (and with engine off after running) holds steady at 40 psi and varies as the rpm's increase. Does anyone know if that is correct (the car runs great)?
Thanks and Happy Motoring!
