fuel gauge goes straight to full ???

Ok, I have no idea what is going on but when I start my car the Fuel Gauge goes straight to full. I just did my clutch and I don't know if this has any effect but i'm sure it does in some which way or another...

The sender is behind the driver seat. You can remove it, inspect it and test it fairly easily.

Assuming the gauge is good, reading full would indicate a shorted wire between the sender and the gauge. The sending unit should read less than 5 ohms full and more then 105 ohms empty.
