does any one have pictures of aluminum grills that would cover the large opening the nsx? i dont' like the grill that goes right infront of the radiator....

i bought a blk grill from 'eastwood' but haven't worked on it... i'd like to cover the large gaping opening from the inside... gonna have to shape it and mount it from the inside....

and make similar cover/mounting for the side ducts too...dali one is ok but it's a bit too restrictive on air flow/rigid...

i'm trying to get a larger type opening like the one's used in front of other cars like M3 and s500 sedans, etc.....

any experience, info, pics, discussions appreciated....

Also, I saw in this thread you started back in May 2004 that you were looking for a grill back then. I imagine you'll be getting the same response now as you did in that thread.

Just my .02 worth, but if you query the NSXPrime community for info and ideas, it might serve your interests best to offer feedback on suggestions made by people. It might help to focus your search.

yeah, i did post and wasn't satisfied with the results...still looking to see who has better idea than mine....which i still have to implement ....no time.... the grill insert has been sitting in the garage for a 1/2 year or so...

yours may be what i'm looking for .... i just can't tell what it looks like in detail... do you have a pic of a close up.... to see the grill aperture/shape/detail of mounting, etc....?

thanks

The pic I posted is not actually of my NSX. It is K2's NSX.

My NSX has a Taitec front end. My body shop installed a grill piece for the rather large opening by installing from the back of it (remember, it was off the car at the time), and wrapping it around the opening from behind and epoxing it in place.

hum, that looks nice... i bet it looks clean too ....no hardwares visible..since none used..... so, how did K2's grill get installed? do you have access to close up of the first car? that looks more stock...like mine...
thanks

K2's set up is nice. I still want one just like his but like you, no time.
I did talk to K2 about this in person and he was very accomodating.
If you ever do the same as K2's grill, make 2 and sell me the other one.

sounds good. do you have K2's contact info?

i have a grill but it's been sitting in the garage for a few months....

i have the idea but i'm trying to use minimal hardware in mounting it.... and it's gotta be clean, mounted from behind the front fender opening....meaning, i may have to take the horn/wires out temporarily or relocate the temp.sensor, etc...

will get to it someday but.... like to ask K2 for a picture of his work....
