I can't trace the noise back to any event but it's been doing it for about a year now and both NSX Modified in Huntington Beach, CA and Mission Viejo Acura are stumped. Has anyone ever had a reproduceable clicking noise in the front end when going over uneven pavement like a speedbump on an angle or curb??

Thanks much,
Dave

Have you seen this? The sound and condition when the sounds occurs is similiar to what I experienced. In my case, it was caused by the bolt connecting the end-joint to the sway bar not being torqued down (after installing Bilsteins). I was stumped for about a week until I had the time to check the bolts. Easy 10 minute fix.

Thanks Ojas, I didn't find that thread in my search but I've had 2 different companies try tighten and lube the sway bars and everything else on the front end. Maybe I'll get in there myself and try it though.

Break pads could be it, I did have NSX Modified but different pads on. I'll have to look into that one.

Thanks for the input!

I also had this clicking sound coming from the front suspension when going over a speed bump or transition to an angled driveway, I knew it was nothing that was affecting the safety or driveability of the car, but the clicking just drove me nuts, I had the frontend aligned and all nuts and bolts inspected looked for any obvious signs of wear and even had the wheels remounted, no luck, I finally replaced the oem shocks and the noise is gone. I examined the dampers but couldn't duplicate the noise. I don't know exactly what caused it, but it's fine now.

Lifespan varies, depending on mileage and time and how you use the car. If the car has over about 80K miles and/or if you've tracked the car much then it's probably time.

It's hard to tell when they start to go. The traditional test (push down on the fender and see how many times it bounces) only tells you when they're WAY past the time they should have been replaced...
