Hey guys,
This is a sour introduction but here I am, I sold my '95 eagle talon a few weeks ago to buy an NSX, and when some of you might say that was a logic move, It was very hard for me.
I had my DSM for about five years and it was actually fully built from feet to head for local time attack competitions.

Anyways, I went to the states(I live in Toronto) to pick up the NSX and the first thing I notice was the amazing lack of power, (The DSM was 502AWHP) and when that turn me down, the sound, driveability, and the feeling of the handling made up for it very quick.

So then I though, well the car is slow but the potential that I though it had, was comfirm. The power would be the easy part.

I have to ad that I never drove an NSX untill I drove my own.
kind of riskie but it was worth the risk.

Anyways, I leave you now with a couple pics of my old car and my new NSX.
Enjoy.

nice dsm and i love that color nsx, is that monaco blue pearl or monte carlo blue? well i can understand how you will miss the power since your making double what the nsx does, but the nsx is all about balance. if your curious about power and you have a lot money and i mean a lot money, you can always boost the nsx. The chassis was designed to handle the higher level of hp better than the dsm chassis could.

Power is for the track man...if you want to lose your car then just pound the streets at ungoldy speeds and see what happens...times are changing...its basically going from 0 to the speed limit in as fast of a time as possible. The police state is here...and its only going to get more tyrannical...so enjoy your ride for its handling and its beauty.

<sighs> Tell me about it. Well, this is what we get for voting in socialists and supporting statist movements.

Me either - but it worked out - I have personally put almost 100,00 miles on mine. Lack of power can be corrected by supercharging. Nice color. Boost it but otherwise keep it stock in appearance.

although your DSM had "mucho power" it really looks like some 18 year old kids car from HS..

boost the nsx. you will have best of both worlds. nice color

Thats exactly the reason I bought the car, to make it a track car.
I am not a kid, and I dont "pound" the streets I never did I will never will.

I will fully enjoy the car when I have taking advantage of its full potential, And is inminent that boost will come.

Thanks for the welcome averyone.

i would assume that the car you purchase was the car for sale in the prime marketplace located here:

http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121764

congratulations on the purchase. looks like you got one amazing deal! the color looks great and the car looks like it's in pretty good condition for its age.

now lower it a tad, fix up that seat tear, and you'll have one nice looker!

i hope i can pick up an example like this soon...

Yes that is the one.
Brian at SOURCE was great, we did a comprssion test to make sure the numbers were the same as they were stated in the ad, and they were.

Pictures seriously make no justice to this car, it looks amazing in person, I am working on the coilovers and wheels at this moment.

Thanks again for the coments.

ouch, you pretty much already have stated how "bad" your nsx is like 5 times :( ...... listen, no one buys a 12-15-18 y.o. car for 50-40-30K based on "power" alone ... otherwise just based on "power" 90% of people here would be rolling C6 Z06's ....

I hope you can really enjoy your NSX ... and I am sorry but that Eagle Talon (DSM to glamorize the name) although had 1000 hp, needed to go bad, and you know it ...

I made more or less the same change.

Having owned a 350bhp Evo6 for 4 years, even though it was a hoot to drive, I got more or less tired with it.

I descided to make a change onto a small basic fun car: a 175bhp '99 Toyota MR2 SW20.
But even though the mid-engined RWD was a lot of fun, I really missed the power, so I got a complete Japanese Turbo drivetrain with a swap in mind.

By that time however, I finally realised I wanted something combining all: rare and exclusive, great handling, power and reliability and so I realised the NSX was the car to go for.
After about 6 months of searching, I finally found a '98 that was up to my quality standards.

However when driving it, I again realised it fitted ALMOST all requirements, but I still missed the power I got so used to with the Evo.................
So I found myself a slightly used CTSC kit.

However, by the time I was just about to start the build, I saw a fully CTSC converted (CTSC kit/clutch/manifolds/exhaust/boostgauge/and some other small toys) super low mls mint red/tan '98 for sale here on Prime.

After lengthy contacts with it's owner, based on lots of info and a huge amount of pics supplied by the owner, I took the gamble and bought it without ever seeing it in person and had it shipped to me in The Netherlands, Europe.

After some hassle to import and register it, I finally could drive it, 5 months after the buy.

On the dyno it turned out about 360 RWHP and I have been very happy with it ever since.
Only other changes I made to make it even better are Type-R chassis braces and front arb, new Type-S suspension and rear arb, Carbotech brakepads and Works 17/18 wheels.
Now it fits to all my requirements:rolleyes::biggrin:

Mind you, I did afterall also get a rhd '94 MR2 SW20 290bhp tuned Turbo and to be honest, that is soo much fun too. It comes quite close to the NSX in terms as accelleration and drivability, however completely misses the exclusivity/supercar presence.
