Anyone know how to unlock (career mode) the "Realtime Racing NSX"

This game is awesome, has better selection of cars than GT4..
250/ 288 GTO, F-40, Countach, Diablo, Porsche 930/959,996T, 997T, 997-GT3, GZOX NSX, Mclaren F1, Ferrari P-4, 333 just to name a few

I don't know how to unlock the "realtime racing NSX" but I played the game.

Honestly, I wasn't impressed with Forza 2. I still think the GT series is better, and I would rather keep playing GT3 instead. What makes Forza 2 better than GT4 is that it does what GT4 didn't have. It has the Lambos, the Ferraris, Porsches, customization, and most of all the car damage that everyone craves for in a racing simulator.

Iv been playing this game for like 3 days straight....i cant stop:frown:

It is for this reason alone that this is the first time since Friday that I have been on Prime. I'm usually on all day every day (I check it at least 10 times a day. Lat I checked it was Fri morn... Damn Forza!

Luv it though!

Just got to level 31 and got the NSX R GT. Modded it to 550 HP NA and lightened it to right under 2000 pounds. Lets just say the CGTs and the Mclaren F1 have trouble keeping up.

Just got the wireless steering and must say- it brings the game to life

Was thinking of getting that but Its 150 bucks:eek:

I think GT HD for the PS3 is going to be better... when it comes out in a fully functional game.

I have not played either but this is just my opinion :) fwiw

I told myself over and over again, "if it wasn't for forza 2, i wouldn't have reason to get Xbox360"..

now that it's out, how's the game compared to forza 1? graphics, physics, controls, tracks, etcs?

Thanks.

I have not played it WITHOUT the steering wheel yet. I don't think I would even be interested in using a regular controller. I bought/play the game forthe experience... not to play a game.

Yes, it's $150, but VERY worth it!

You need a wheel to play this game but the xbox wheel is so horrible.
huge dead zone
centers to the side
plastic and cheap feeling
wheel is too small
pedals have no grip
only one clamp and it is plastic and weak

Microsoft proprietary bullshit at its finest.

- if your wheel centers to the side, return it and get a new one that's not normal.

- dead zone is adjustable in game and shouldn't be huge (the non-centered wheel will magnifiy any dead zone issue)

- I don't think it feels cheap at all, its one of the nicest wheels I've used

- wheel size is close to all other racing wheel sizes on the market

- pedals are always an issue, but in a sitting position with the heel hook - they work fine for me (maybe you hit the gas too hard  )

- I haven't tried the clamp, it works nicely sitting in my lap

This is actually one of the best wheels out there. ign.com gave it a 9/10 overall rating (http://gear.ign.com/articles/747/747438p2.html)

Logitec's Driving force pro for the ps2 is typicallly regarded as the best console wheel out there, and I'm not sure I can argue. However, the 360 wheel is quite nice all things considered and it was built for Forza 2.

I like the wheel alot, and you are the only one I've heard say anything negative about it. I don't have much to compare it to, but I have used FFB wheels before.

- No Dead Zone here...
- Mine centers just fine.
- yes plastic, but it's not real.
- I agree, it could be bigger.
- no problems with the pedals here either
- the clamp works fine, my wheel doesn't move.

shiftybob,
is the wireless wheel really that bad? what do you think? think about getting it!

Honestly, I think using the wheel makes it a COMPLETELY different game. I would highly recommend it.

I initially tried using it with it sitting in my lap, and while it does work that way, it's way better when clamped to something. I use a folding dinner tray (about 3ft tall) and my pedals go in front of it. With one of the legs sticking through the pedal ring, they never move...

I do the same setup!

I've been playing the Dirt demo too.... can't wait for it to be released. It's bada$$

I didn't know the demo was available for download (haven't really checked). I already pre-ordered it. Does it use FFB? If it's anything like Motorstorm for PS3 it will be awesome!

I think its already released

It is scheduled for release mid-month... but it always gets pushed back. I have one on pre-order.

What proprietary BS? You can buy a steering wheel for the 360 from at least 4 other companies than MS. MS hasn't locked out other companies from making steering wheels - or all sorts of controllers.

After reading reviews and seeing final screen shots, I decided to pass on Forza 2. Is it true the Microsoft wheel only has 270 degrees of rotation? The whole reason I didn't buy a wheel before Logitech's 900 degree Driving Force Pro was because I felt that wheels with 270 degrees always had an awkward disconnect between amount of rotation and how the car turns. GT4 and GT:HD with the Driving Force Pro are sublime driving experiences that have made it really hard for me to go back to anything else (reference my posts about how frustrated I was before GT:HD had force feedback enabled).

Forza 2 ALMOST convinced me to buy an Xbox360. I realize that there are a lot of improvements to Forza 2 over the original especially in areas I complained about (60fps versus 30, force feedback support, ability to tweak dead zones on the analog sticks, ability to transfer liveries from one car to another and to auction cars into the online community, ability to take photos of your cars a la GT4), but visually the game simply doesn't meet my lofty expectations. I think there are other games on Xbox360 that have significantly more visual impact. And the cars in GT:HD look quite a bit more realistic than Forza 2's, especially in replays...and, considering that this is an early demo, I have even higher expectations for GT5 on PS3.

The best thing I can say about Forza 2 thus far is that I'm really impressed with what people are doing with the custom graphics. I had a custom painted NSX-R in the first Forza, so I'm definitely hoping that Polyphony Digital includes something like Forza 2's custom paint editor in the next Gran Turismo. And I definitely want to be able to share my work.

Microsoft does have proprietary BS in their controller spec. Logitech's fantastic Driving Force Pro and G25 wheels theoretically should be able to work with Xbox360 via USB, but they are not supported.

Dirt looks pretty cool...I hope it looks as good (if not better) on PS3. Motorstorm rocks, but I definitely am looking forward to off-roading in a game that drives more like a sim...

The best wheel I've ever used was my Momo Force, makes the cheesy wireless MS wheel feel like Fisher Price, (which it is for $150). But the Momo would not work with X-360 because MS inserted code to specifically disable it. I sure they wanted to sell more wheels. Had the 900 degree Logitech and liked the realism, but the quality was no where near the Momo. Getting a little sick of buying a new wheel for each game that comes out. Can't see how you guys are driving with that thing on your lap, tried it once, and it just seemed like it was all over the place.

As far as the Physics of the game, seem like Forza is a little more realistic than GT4, just from the cars I've owned and driven in both games. YMMV
