When I wanted to match a silver Toyota color with a vinyl wrap for an emblem mod project, I bought small samples of ten different silver wrap colors and chose the best one.
Here’s the site I used- small samples are only $1 each, you could buy each sample that looks close.

I'm leaning towards this black roof wrap on my '01 as well. Always thought of the black canopy as intrinsic to the classic NSX profile, so I'm thinking of having the roof wrapped black when I update my PPF. The question is whether to make it matt or whether it will not look good once the rest of the car is ceramic coated.
Interesting that your '91 had a red roof, I had thought that all '91-94 had the black roof.

Most likely someone painted his car is its past life. The color-matching top was a popular mod in the early 2000's, as everyone wanted to update their NSX with a modern look. But like bell bottoms, everything comes back around and the black roof is in vouge again. I do think a black roof on your 2001 with the S wheels will look really killer!
It's going to be hard to match the factory R-77 red because the NSX red has a magenta mid-coat that makes the hue really pop. Hard to duplicate that effect in a wrap. The previous advice to compare red samples is probably the best path.
