BE HAPPY!
I just got off the road from probably the WORST comedy run in my life time. I cleared $400.00 and put 2K miles on the Hyundai in the process.
On the way home I passed the Acura dealership hear in Birmingham and they had a white 96'NSX-T with tan int. sitting on their lot. I knew that they would either blow me off if I went by to check it out, or they would worry me about buying a car that is currently out of my league.
Anyway I went back to the lot around 11pm and stood there and just... looked at it. I probably stared at every line, every curve noticed every little thing about the car's essence. I stood there tired from the road and kinda talked to the car. Not like a nut or anything but sort of the way you can sometimes talk to a complete stranger about your life because they are a total stranger. I think it was like talking to someone that you might strive to be and quietly admire. I think that's what the NSX is to me. A real world example of a goal of mine, something to shoot for.
Maybe I just needed to blow off some steam, but I did sit there in the parking lot talking about life to a white 96'NSX-T.
My point: Sometimes its easy to take things for granted: loved ones, your health, even something as stupid as a car. Just remember when you are complaining about something stupid or petty, that there are those out there like myself who are sitting in a parking lot at 11pm looking at that NSX from the outside.
Now thank the big man upstairs for your health, kiss the wife and tell her you love her, toss the pig skin around with the kids or read them a story. Then go in the gaurage, pop open a beer, and just sit there and stare...
