Hi guys, I know there's probably tons of threads on track what to do and not to do's but I wanted to find out from you guys as NSX trackers what I need to do prior to taking my car out to the track. Mines a 93 daily driver with minor suspension mods, dali version 2 sway bars front and rear, type r chasis bars, tien flex coilovers, oem 2002+ 17 inch wheels with brand new goodyear f1 gsd3

as far as prep work what should i do? brakes? oil change? flush fluids? ect? any other tips i could use while on the track or off? any info would be greatly appreciated.

do i need to bring my own helmet or do they provide one or can you rent one there?

i haven't chosen the course/track yet but it'll probably be in the northern bay area or maybe so cal.

Most places will not have loaner helmets so plan on bringing your own.

Here are some threads with tips for the first timer:

And always remember NEVER SET THE PARKING BRAKE when you come off the track.

Here is a sample Tech Inspection from to give you a general idea what to check with the car prior to bringing it to the track: https://www.trackmasters.com/2008TechInspection.pdf

Jimmy!!! Finally thinking about taking her out, huh? Make sure you've broken in your new Eagles before pushing them too hard. The newer they are, the greasier they will be. Hrant said they need to heat cycle as well.

What track event(s) are you contemplating? My cousin and I might do the one on Apr 4 at Thunderhill. If 10 NSXs register it's only $200 for those 10 guys! He's still not sure if he's going but if you're down, let's go!

That a boy jimbo Damn you guys and your track days!! now I have to go. what were those track days during the week James?

Well there's this, the track day I referenced to Jimmy: http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100764

And here's a list of track days that Track Masters is hosting. I've run with this group twice and both times were safe and fun.

I'll probably see the track twice this year, so let's pick dates!

RSO_34 - THANKS very much for all the info!

just out of curiosity though what's the deal with the ebrake thing? why is it a bad thing to pull the ebrake up at the end of the session?

James and Danny - I'm interested in going if you want to go to the Thunderhill event on the 4th thats if my lasik surgery next friday goes well. Otherwise it'll have to be the next following event
