Hi,
Just purchased a new 2019 Orange NSX with Indigo interior, CCB's and gloss CF rear spoiler. Love everything about the car except the storage in the cab and the exhaust. I have about decided on the LHT Performance exhaust. Does anyone have a video of the removal of the rear bumper and trunk? I plan on doing the exhaust install myself and can probably figure out the bumper and trunk removal, but a video would be nice.

This is an awesome video. Just what I was looking for. I would have never found this without this site. Thanks!!!!

Trunk removal is absolutely not a one man job. Get an assistant who takes direction well. The gloss black trim pieces above the brake lights can be easily damaged (even with tape covering them) and cost about $1k per side.

Yes, I am in contact with John at LHT. He does not have the valve option ready yet, but the GT is ready to go. I will probably order his GT model.

welcome and great cars....how reliable is the evora and how many miles?

evora

Bought the Evora new. It has about 1800 miles right now and has been super reliable and one of my favorite cars to drive. It is a six speed manual and takes the corners like no other car I have ever driven. I have made quite a few mods including cat delete with a bypass pipe and it sounds like it looks now. It is a British handmade car, so it has had some small niggles which I have fixed by mechanically it has been great. At half the price of the NSX, I consider the Evora the better bargain.

I like the versatility of the vestigial rear seats...

Yep, with the back seats and the trunk storage it makes for a pretty practical car. I do not know why Acura did not put some storage or cargo nets up front on the expensive car. I am adding some cargo nets and a fold a way cup holder to my NSX.

CONGRATS, tashabay!

I am pretty partial to orange, and if I ever got into a new NSX orange would def. be IT :cool: Nice garage you have there.
Anytime you want to post more photos, pls feel free.

Very Nice.

How does the NSX compare with the Z06 in terms of forward visibility, acceleration and handling? What tires are you running on the NSX?

Sorry for the late reply. I have been dealing with a computer crash with 9 years worth of data, been a little busy. Front Visibility goes to the NSX Side Visibilty easily goes to the Z06. Rear visibility is about equal. Acceleration would go to the Z06-the NSX is close on this and may be actually faster on acceleration, but the Z06 feels faster due to the 650lbs of torque and the Arkapovic titanium exhaust sound. Handling would go to the NSX of the two you mentioned, but the Lotus beats them both on handling. Lotus is like a Formula 1 in the curves and I have done a Cat delete on the Lotus with a bypass pipe using the factory exhaust. I have designated the Z06 and the Lotus both "keepers". The NSX is in the "Rotation" spot in the garage. Before the NSX, the rotation spot was occupied by 1995 Ferarri F355, 2018 Lexus LC500, & 2016 Mercedes AMG GTS. Before I purchased the NSX, I thought I wanted a Jaguar Type F or a Shelby GT350 in the rotation spot so I went to an exotic car store and drove the Jag, GT350, 2017 NSX, BMW I8, and Ferrari F430. I was very disappointed in the Jag and GT350. The F430 was paddle shift, but not dual clutch, so the shifting was a little "clunky", so the wife vetoed that one before we got a quarter mile on test drive. I was surprisingly impressed with the BMW I8 performance, and it was actually more practical than the NSX due to the back seat. You can buy a very low mileage BMW I8 now for half of sticker. The NSX is terrible on cabin storage with no back seat or even a usable shelf behind the seats and no cargo nets. Even the BMW Z4 has a shelf behind the seats with a cargo net. I have started adding Cargo nets and a phone holder in the NSX using outdoor grade Velcro. I have used this heavy duty Velcro in my other cars and it works great to add pockets and nets where you need them. I did not know if I was allowed to mention the dealer in Boerne Texas that let us test drive all the exotics, but they were great and I would really like to buy a car from them one day. They allowed us both go on test drives together in any car we picked with out a dealer representative in the car and they would have the next one ready when we got back from the current test drive. If you would like any more comparisons on the cars mentioned above, do not hesitate to ask.

Is this LHT located in Pinellas Park Florida?

Erik

Erik,
No this is not LHT, but I have been talking with John at LHT about upgrading my exhaust. I have also been talking with Alec at Fabspeed (a Forum member/advertiser) and I think I have decided to try the Fabspeed down pipes first and keep the factory cat back exhaust to maintain the ability to switch between quiet mode, sport and sport+.

I spent 20 minutes drafting a reply to this and when I hit the submit button, I got a message that the reply was sent to moderator for approval, so I guess we will have to wait to see if my reply gets approved???? Forgot to mention in the long first reply that I am running OEM tires, but will switch to Pilot Sport 4S when the current tires wear out. I am running the 4S on two other cars and love them.

I got the same thing when starting. Never got an approval - just keep posting and it eventually worked. Congrats on your car!
