Vegas....Baby!
This was my first build and it actually worked without a hitch.

My plan was to use some older technology until prices come down on quad 4 processors, DDR3 Ram and direct 10x cards and mobo.
The new components are future proof until prices drop in a year or two.

-Asus A8N5X MOBO *upgrade when prices drop
-Windows Vista Home Premium *New
-Kingston DDR 400 512k X 4 = 2 GB total *upgrade when prices drop
-Antec TruePowerTrio 650W *New
-Seagate 160 GB IDE *upgrade when prices drop
-Seagate 400 GB SATA 7500RPM *New
-GeForce PCX 5700 GPU *upgrade when prices drop
-Creative Labs Sound Blaster card 7.1surround
-2 DVD burners with light scribe
-41 in 1 card reader
-AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Toledo 2.0GHZ *upgrade when prices drop
-Thermalright Ultra 120 eXtreme Heat sink. *New

This computer was built with extreme cooling in mind. The Thermalright is the best air cooling heat sink avalible today. The case is for extreme gamers, (I'm not though) but it has the best air cooling features.

Anyone who wants in depth testing of computer technology, go to anandtech.

The future upgrade will include the Case, PSU, SATA HDD, OS and optical drives.

-Windows Vista Home Premium

Mind to share your experience with vista so far? I cosider upgrading from XP, basically to play Halo 2 with directx10. :)

Regardles of what others say, I like Vista. The GUI is great. Everyone who uses a PC will have to submit someday. I have had no glitches so far.
