Finished my Engine Bay - Pics

No, not at all. I find there to be no negatives to removing the cover.

Gets LOTS of attention!!!

i took my engine cover off, but when it rained the water went into my engine bay and the steam that came from the water touching the headers fogged up my rear hatch really bad. So isn't that a bad thing? can't that crack your headers?

That has never happened to me. Besides, how would the cover prevent the water from getting to the headers, anyway?

I'm not 100% sure that when water makes contact with hot headers it cracks, but thats what I've heard. As for the cover preventing water from getting in, the engine cover has weather striping around it with prevents water from entering from the edge (where you place your hand to open the glass hatch)

Oh, never thought of that. Is it a problem?

No one on Prime has ever mentioned it before, in previous threads about this subject...

I dunno, I guess its just me, I had my engine cover off and tried washing the car, water just kept going in. It probably doesn't matter if water gets in or not.
