Thanks to the discount intel on this forum, I finally pulled the trigger two weeks ago!
I grew up having an NSX poster up on my bedroom wall and here finally I have the real thing in my garage! I've been tracking the 2nd gen developments ever since the super bowl commercial and I even flew to Detroit for the debut of the car. However, when the pricing was announced, my gut said yes but my head said no...and the cooler head prevailed. And I thought that was that.
About three weeks ago, I was in the market for a weekend car, and I thought I would do some homework and give the NSX another try. And thanks to the posts on this forum, I learned about the $30k discount and I was ready to deal! From day 1, I was looking for a 130R white on red. I didn't really care about the carbon bits or the spoiler, but I did want the CCB and the tech package. I've conducted a nationwide inventory search and spoke to no fewer than fifteen dealerships in the course of five days. The search became quite intense as a few of my targeted lightly optioned cars were sold during the process.
Finally I found a casino white on red with the exact option combo I was looking for. There were 2 miles on the car and it came equipped with CCB, tech package, and red leather with Alcantara. The MSRP was $174K and I was able to get the price down to $132K. The 130R white was really my first choice but the deal was the best that I could manage to get. I spent the night checking out YouTube videos on the casino whites and pulled the trigger the next morning. Started my search on Sunday, closed the deal on Thursday, car was shipped to my doorsteps on Sunday! The dealership was a blast to work with. Very professional and no games played. PM me if you need more info. Can't be happier with my new NSX and can't thank you guys enough for the intel on the discounts and pricing!IMG_3519.jpgIMG_3550.jpg

White always looks good. That would be my second choice. I should be joining the club in a week. Congrats!

Now give us driving impressions. Lately everyone is all about the price, which I understand

Need your review

Congrats, job well done, love the "Y" wheels....

Congrats! I'm where you were three weeks ago.

Thanks, guys! I bought the car from an out-of-state dealership and the cross-state registration process is a pain. It's been almost two weeks and my licence plates are still not here yet. Unfortunately I can't drive the car without license plates per MA state law. Will give updates when I get to drive it. Hopefully I'll get enough drivetime before the winter arrives.

Just throw on plates from a different car, I drove that way for 3 months on my 1991 until I got smogged and registered. You just have to 100% follow all speed laws. I did have insurance just not current registration

Congrats, on your super nice nsx, casino white is very nice. I'm also in searching and talking mode with dealers, I think you got a very good deal. Did you end up leasing? Can you share us your numbers to get an idea? Congrats bud

It was a straight up purchase. MSRP was $174k and the final price was $132k plus taxes and license. Acura requires a minimum financing amount of $30k to qualify for the $30k cash rebate. A few dealers have told me that Acura allocates different rebate amounts to different dealers depending on factors like the number of NSXs they have sold. So it seems to me that some dealers have more room to work with than the others.

Congratulations and have a blast with it.

I am originally from MA and hope you don't have to do the Registry stuff yourself.

Those folks take delight in rejecting customers for little this or that issues.

If you live East of 128, a few pics of your car in front of some of New Balance's cool new Boston Landing buildings would be appreciated.

congrats on the new car! I'm looking at a very similar car. What dealership or state did this one come from? you can PM me if you don't want to post. Thanks

I was looking at that car also. I talked to Greg. Definitely similar options I’m looking for and color. There’s a few closer to me as I’m all he way out west. Getting close to pulling the trigger.

Yes you have to use Acura/Honda Financial services to qualify for the rebate. Didn't look into the lease program but you have to finance a minimum of $30k with them.
