There have been several threads in the past documenting NSX'ers favorite driving music. Here is a different question:

What is your favorite song that mentions cars or driving? (any genre)

My vote >>> Radar Love by Golden Earring

Little Red Corvette....ooooooppppps, that's not about a car!

How about "Red Barchetta" by Rush?

"....my uncle has a country place that no one knows about.":D

I have 2, can you name the artist??

My hooptie and Testarossa

"one hubcab cause three got stolen!"

Beep Beep, by the Playmates.

My uncle had a Nash Rambler and used to play this song. It brings back fond memories.

Beach Boys have some good car songs. Little Duece Coupe, 409, Little Honda (actually a motorcycle song but I liken it to my NSX:) )

in love with my car (queen)

I love the song by Queen, I'm in love with my car. I have heard the song is an innuendo for something else .

the song was written by their drummer, roger taylor. he *was* (still is, i believe) in love with cars... did some race driving, etc.

still, it may well be full of innuendo (the name of one of queen's last album's, btw).

be well.
hal (queenlives, named for the band :)

car songs

"little GTO", ronny and the daytona's

"little old lady from pasadena", jan and dean

"little deuce coupe", beach boys

"hey little cobra", ripcords

Highway Star by Deep Purple

"Nobody gonna take my car
I’m gonna race it to the ground
Nobody gonna beat my car
It’s gonna break the speed of sound
Oooh it’s a killing machine
It’s got everything
Like a driving power big fat tyres
And everything"

I especially like the use of the same word (everything) to make a rhyme
;)

Love that guitar intro simulating gear changes.

The Distance - Cake

Reluctantly crouched at the starting line,
engines pumping and thumping in time.
the green light flashes, the flags go up.
churning and burning, they yearn for the cup.
they deftly maneuver and muscle for rank,
fuel burning fast on an empty tank.
reckless and wild, they pour through the turns.
their prowess is potent and secretly stern.
as they speed through the finish, the flags go down.
the fans get up and they get out of town.
the arena is empty except for one man,
still driving and striving as fast as he can.
the sun has gone down and the moon has come up,
and long ago somebody left with the cup.
but he's driving and striving and hugging the turns.
and thinking of someone for whom he still burns.

he's going the distance.
he's going for speed.
she's all alone
in her time of need.
because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
he's fighting and biting and riding on his horse,
he's going the distance.

no trophy, no flowers, no flashbulbs, no wine,
he's haunted by something he cannot define.
bowel-shaking earthquakes of doubt and remorse,
assail him, impale him with monster-truck force.
in his mind, he's still driving, still making the grade.
she's hoping in time that her memories will fade.
cause he's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
he's fighting and biting and riding on his horse.
the sun has gone down and the moon has come up,
and long ago somebody left with the cup.
but he's striving and driving and hugging the turns.
and thinking of someone for whom he still burns.

cause he's going the distance.
he's going for speed.
she's all alone
in her time of need.
because he's racing and pacing and plotting the course,
he's fighting and biting and riding on his horse.

"Bad to the Bone" - i just can't listen to that song without the mental imagary of driving down a coastal highway, arm resting on the window, Targa roof off & wearing bad-boy sunglasses. :D

Mullet blowin' in the wind, cruisin' in the targa top, eh neo?
