Last Thursday, I drove from the Bay Area, CA to San Diego, CA, and then to AZ. The car rental company gave me a Dodge Magnum. At first, I wanted to go back and ask for an exchange when I first picked up the car. I thought it was a station wagon. After second thought, I needed the cargo space anyway. That car must have attracted officer as a muscle car because I got a speeding ticket on Highway 10 from SD to AZ. They gave me one of those $50 ticket (with no record on DMV file). Strange right? I have never heard of it before...but I didn't want to argue with the officer. They trapped me with one of those area where the speed limit was 75, and then 65 and then 55 within 1/4 mile. I was trying to avoid one of those big trucker smashing me off the road so I had to speed up.

After my arrival to Arizona, I kicked back and enjoyed some night fishing in the backyard of my uncle's home. I caught a 20 pound fish...it was huge. After cooking up the fish for dinner, I started lurking around the garage to find a ladder. Walaaa.... I stumbled onto his NSX. I was like...why can't I live like this...fishing in the backyard...and drive the NSX to the supermarket.

Boy, i'm so exhausted from the long drive trip. I wanted to check out Science of Speed on Saturday, but I was too busy during the day that I missed it. Darn! Since another family member owns an NSX, I think i'll be paying more visit to AZ more often now hehehe.

PIC2: Here's a picture of his backyard where I was fishing along the pool area:

PIC3: Here's another view of his neighbor across the lake. He's one of linebacker for the Arizona Cardinal. I heard his house is like 10,000 sq ft with 10 rooms and 2 kitchens on top and bottom floor with escalator inside...and he's not home very often hehehe.

PIC4: And here's a picture of his hidden NSX in the garage. I told him about the NSXPO in AZ this year, but he said that his business occupied his weekend to be able to attend the event.

It was just amazing...it was like 2 ft. fish...big and fat stomach. Maybe it was 10 pound? I asked my mom if it was more than 10 pounds, but she said it was more. The fish had a small head with a big stomach though. I should have taken a picture of it, but I didn't want my camera to be all smelly. Once every year, they dropped a truck load into the lake for the community. My uncle said they have bass, etc...since i'm not familiar with fish name, I was clueless when he started naming them.

Tell me about it...i'm the poor one. He works hard for his money. Everyone on this forum with an NSX is probably super rich, except for me :(.

Your uncle looks super poor!

I was a bit worried about the super rich thing when I joined the club last year, but the majority of the people I have been have been guys who have worked hard and have some extra loot to spend on a great car. If we were super rich, we would buy Ferraris with $1k oil changes. Maybe the NE guys are different, but I doubt it.

Unfortunately :( My mom keeps in touch with the family, but I don't :(. The only reason why i'm over there because of my mom came along...and because I had to fix this up in AZ. This is the only thing i can afford :(

So wait........you never knew that your uncle had a Nsx ?

I agree with you that a lot of houss in AZ looks like that (well, the new ones)....the housing price is pretty decent over there. That house price is probably the same for a mediocre house in CA. I wish I had that house ... i don't mind eating fish everyday!

When I was there, his son was looking to buy a million dollar home in Scottsdale. Im like WOW cousin...A big MILLION dollar...that's a lot of money. Then again, he's a doctor.

well, i can't speak for the other members, but i'm a trust fund baby, born **in** a pure silver nsx. in fact, i'm so rich, i pay other people just type my posts on prime; actually, i have two of them: one types the consonants, the other types the vowels.

yeah, we're all super rich.

not.

tissues for your issues...

hmmm... I'd love to discover a family member who was a car enthusiasist! So far in my extended family, just the usual & boring import sedans...

Anyways, it's getting to be a bit annoying you griping over who's rich and who's not. Or who's house is plush and who's isn't. And who's driving an exotic car and who isn't.

You're from Milpitas California. Money doesn't go very far there unless you're making bank to begin w/. But that's not even the basis for all this.

No more apathy, not only it makes you unhappy but makes everyone else uncomfortable.

Be a go getter, positive, optimistic, creative, thankful, diligent, disciplined, and remember to 'create' your affluence - don't emulate other poeple's affluence.
