Alonso got docked 5 spots for "blocking" !!! That was blocking? Give me a f***ing break !!!! An ill-disguised money-image maneuver by Bernie's folks that could be juicy Leno or Letterman material (if F-1 had a following in this country).

Well, I guess Fred got the first installment in a life lesson that Dilbert could have taught him. His comment below will likely earn him the 2nd installment.

"I am a sportsman. I love sport, I love the fans. I don't consider Formula One like a sport anymore," said Alonso. "If this is blocking I don't understand how we can race today."

What were the Stewards thinking... Ray Charles could have seen that was NOT blocking.

The stewards even admitted that they didn't believe it to be intentional.

Wow, maybe Flavio's right...

No question Alonso's been hosed a bit this season. The need for defined penalties becomes even more apparent...

I'll tell you what they were thinking...

"Now listen guys we're under strict instructions from our illustrious leader King Bernie to make Ferrari win at all costs! Otherwise, we could loose the GP to someone else next year... So, if that means we have to disqualify Honda for 3 races or accuse Alonso of blocking so be it!... But no matter what Ferrari do we turn a blind eye! Okay! Got it?... Good!"

Anyone got a link of the video? I went to youtube but every clip shows Alonso being lightyear ahead of Massa and both were driving flatout. Did people post the wrong clips? If the clips are the correct ones, then Alonso got raped.

EXACTLY. Schumacher and Ferrari must end the year with clinching the driver's championship and manufacturer's championship. It is good PR for the F1 audience which is heavily pro Ferrari, and PR means money.

I did like Alonso's reply as paraphrased on Speed Channel.

"while I consider myself a sportsman I no longer consider F-1 a sport".
