exhaust piping diameter

Hey guys,

What size piping should I go when building my exhaust , 2.25" or 2.5" piping?

And what are the advantages/differences between them, my DC sports exhaust is 2.25`` but I have seen some systems here with 2.5.

I just want to make sure that the back pressure is not affected the wrong way.

This is with stock headers and cats.

Since the cats are going to be the limiting factor it doesnt really matter what the downstream size is. Your backpressure won't be affected. The 2.25" diameter will be easier to bend so you may want to consider that.

I'd go with 2.5 inch

you can do 3 inch if you want serious upgrade compatibility although 3 inch only makes sens with a S/C or turbo setup if your going to keep it NA stick with 2.5 inch
