Hi Guys

Looking at a couple of low mile NSX's that have not had these service issues
taken care of. I am wondering if anyone can recommend a shop in southern Ont and estimated cost?
Thanks
John

I am in Ottawa and there's only 2 area dealerships to deal with. Both quoted me $2200 for the full 96K kms overhaul (timing belt, tensioners, water pump, lines, headgasket). I ended up going with in independent shop thats worked on local NSXs for $1300.

I am not sure if that helps but it gets you in the ballpark.

This is from 2006:

Acura West
$1141.15 plus tax Timing & Acc belts, Water pump, tensioner & coolant & labour
$372 plus tax valve adjustments

Fairview Acura
$1983.63 tax in Timing belt, water pump, acc belts, tensioner & coolant & labour
$435.00 tax in valve adjustments

Acura on Brandt
$1369.19 plus tax Timing Belt, acc belts, water pump & coolant & labour
$172.00 plus tax valve adjustments

Erin Mills $2000.00 plus tax “Timing belt service with valve adjustments”

Markham Acura
$1656.00 plus tax Timing belt, tensioner, acc belts, coolant and labour
$285.00 plus tax valve adjustments

Remember, there are significant discounts from 2 dealerships if you belong to the NSX Club of Canada:
i. Acura on Brandt – 10% off NSX Parts and Labour

ii. Erin Mills Acura – 20% off NSX Parts; 15% off Labour

I had mine done here in London at Acura West, but that was before there were any discounts.

Great prices! I wonder why they wanted me to do the headgasket?
Me=look like sucker :redface:

I think they meant valve cover gasket, not head gasket.

I shudder to think what a blown HG would cost to replace on a C30A.

Well I am proud to say I just did my own major service and the car actually started when I was done:smile:
Timing belt, water pump, valve adjustment and all associated gaskets and seals. I got employee pricing on parts and it still cost me over a grand but that included the tools and service mat.
The article in this website by Gary Kentosh is pretty well a bolt by bolt description of how to do it and is very accurate. Definitely a bit intimidating at first but after a few days of playing around you just get in the groove and it all comes together after quadruple checking everything! Next time would be easier for sure except I am sure to forget everything 8 years from now.
Put on a set of Tein coilovers after that to treat myself, does it ever corner nice now:biggrin:
Still have to do my brakes as I have stoptech floating rotors, ducting, pads and ss lines to install. Also will be doing the ABS flushing as I have acquired the tool but no time yet to get to it.
I am located just North of Barrie and if anyone wants to borrow tools I have acquired the following.

Tappet adjuster
Crank pulley tool
ABS flushing T wrench
NSX service mat

Still have to make up the switches to do the ABS job properly.
Love working on the car as all parts fit nicely and nothing rusts!
Cheers
