Erin Mills Acura Show Day

I'm really jealous of you eastern X'ers. Seems to be more support for meets. I tried putting together a quick show and shine but we seem to be performance shy on the west coast here. Hat's off to you guys for supporting each other. I can only hope one day it's as exciting on this side of the rockies.

BTW, if your in the area here's the event I'm trying for:

...if you have any suggestions that would help, let me know. I'll keep trying.

Cheers!

One thing that may help initiate interest is joining the NSX Club of Canada. Start a BC Chapter. We are a fully registered organization and it leads to NSX's coming out of the woodwork. We already have about 30 members and it is growing fast !! I suggest you contact our club Secretary ( Sean Batte ) and he can forward you the details. The newsletters are an excellent way to expose your meets etc. This summer is already full of events. Everyone can't make them all but most will come out to many !! Get a membership commitment from guys and they'll be there !!

I would echo what Rick said. One of the key things to jumpstart your membership is to organize a dealer discount. A few members joined after being referred to us by Erin Mills Acura, because the 15-20% discount on thier bill more than paid for their membership dues.

We have 2 dealers on board and a 3rd on the way.

PM me and I can give you some more details.

And the legwork has been done for any additional chapters. All you have to do is recruit. Red incorporated the Club (with insurance) so that when other groups wanted to put something together, it would be easy.

I just returned from the meet at Erin Mills and I would like to say thank you for their hospitality. The dealership provided us with beverages and a bar-b-que!! It was nice to see so many NSX's in one place. I believe there were 23 cars or so. Colours ranged from silver, red, black, yellow, violet which I had never seen before. All the cars were in great condition with some having beautiful wheels.
It was nice to put a face to the screen names. Good meeting you all and I look forward to the next event.

Thanx Bram! Awesome day, except when the CLOWN from applewood chev olds started talkin smack:mad:  . But in the end it came down to Karma, hence his sprinklers washin out his drop tops:biggrin:

Yes that dealership is a clown. If they treat a Porsche this way, how do they treat their Chevys???

It really was fun to see everyone. Special thanks to Erin Mills. The tour was great, and it was very kind of them to feed us and keep us hydrated to! Three NSX techs in one dealership to boot!

I'll let you guys know when the next club event is. We'll do an exclusive cruise to Niagra and Arshad has a Spring fling in the works to (as far as I know).

Nice to have met some of you yesterday.......thanks to Erin Mills Acura for hosting the event and extending the hospitality. Bram, guess you'll have to change how you address us from "Guys" to ..............well, you figure it out:biggrin: .

Great to see everyone yesterday and put faces to names. Our Club is really shaping up! Sorry again Rick for forgetting the code reader - I will make it up to you.

We are very lucky to have a dealer as supportive as Erin Mills. I strongly encourage everyone who is able to give them your business. Ive been 100% satisfied myself, with many trips for everything from CTSC install, to warranty work, to brake work (thanks Johnny) and sometimes just for routine stuff like oilchanges. It has been the best *dealer* relationship I have ever had.

They have 3 NSX techs! The one who has been doing it the longest was trained when the 91s were launched! That is amazing!

What a good turn-out, I believe there were about 21 NSX's at Erin Mills, the most NSX's of any meet so far. Nice to meet all the New Guys & Gal (Shawna).

A big thanks to Erin Mills Acura for hosting this event, and for providing all the refreshments, and BBQ. I hope that everyone had an opportunity to speak to Michelle and the three NSX Techs (Allan, Rob and Don't recall the third guys Name, sorry). These guys know the NSX very well, they have a lot of experience between then, and will be give members a piece of mind when work is being done on their cars.

I guess the next meet will most likely be a Niagara Falls wine country cruise, which will include a lunch at one of the winery.
Guys & Gal this one is for the spouses.

Don't get sucked in Bram... You drive with the boys...you're one of the boys... no exceptions.....club rulz !

Dave, no worries, you don't owe me a thing. ( Although I will give you that one way ticket to the destination of my choice. )

Whip Daddy and Lucas ! Where are the pictures. I don't mean the whole lot but at least a few teasers showing Vancouver what 20+ NSX's look like on the same lot !!!!

I too have personally dealt with Alan, Steve and Rob ( 3 NSX Tech's ) at Erin mills and personally I have to say they all exhibit extreme professionalism and knowledge. Never worry when your " X " is in their hands.

Omey, I understand you are putting a trailer hitch on your " X " !!! At first I didn't understand but realizing you have to carry 80 bags of ice on every trip...it makes sense. I think you should mount an ice maker while you're at it. ps Can I store my soft drinks in your trailer ? Can the whole Club do so ? (Make it a long trailer)

Mikey and Nathan , I'll look for that Bus Steering wheel knob ( for easier turning ) unless you want to join the rest of us and get a "real" steering wheel for your "ride".... let me know.

Lucas is making CD's with the pictures on them that we can buy. Can't wait to see them!

Hey Guys,

I'll be putting a bunch of the pictures from today on my website, given that I can't upload 300+ pictures I will be selling a CD for those who are interested. The pictures should be up by the end of the day and I'll be sure to post the link here ASAP! It was great meeting some of you and all your NSX's looked AMAZING!

Ricky, we can store stuff for the club, but NO you cannot store your viagra in it or the flight attendents. Also, I heard that you were getting decal's down the side of your car? Apprently they will read BONER?
