can anyone please tell me where exactly is the engine serial number located at? currently the engine is sitting out of the car.... having a very hard time finding the serial number.... can someone send me a pix of the location..... that would be so great .... thanks

I'm not 100% sure but when i was doing an oil change I remember seeing something just above the oil pan facing the front of the car.

Should be one just over the clutch housing at the rear bank

The engine # is stamped into the block.

The tranny # is on a sticker.

I found mine when trying to get the data put together for the window sticker...however, it is very difficut to see, and worse to make out the different symbols....ex: B or 8, D or 0, R or P, that sort of thing...

It is stamped in metal, looking straight down "through" some of the hoses...easier from driver's side than passenger, might need a little flashlight

Here is a page from the manual as to general area of where it is...

It should say C32B1 - XXXXXXX. So seven digits after the C32B1 or C30A1 if you have 3.0 NA1 (as told to me from another primer)

Everybody has given you some good advice as to how to find the serial number of the engine... if you can't find it and its not in the car you aren't really looking...

Why do you continue to ask for pics of people's actual serial number. You have almost no posts... Trying to get serial numbers for any particular reason???

Why don't you take a pic from each side of your engine and post it up here and we will point you right to it... but I don't think anybody is going to post up a pic of their serial number...

EXACTLY! This type of info does not need to be advertised in an open public forum for any crook/potential crook looking in. You'd know why if you've ever had your car stolen. Use PM.

Besides, you'd think maybe the OP would clue the populace in about what year his NSX might be  And to think the dealer would actually divulge this information over the phone ? Just wow....
