hi all, long story short, got my engine back in cardboardboxes from a rebuilding company that went out of business, and done the rebuilding myself.
after putting it all together, i had some smoke (oil) from the number 6 cylinder. after removing the head (its tested ok) and the piston (seems ok) i'm now putting it back together and check if the smoke in gone.
i just noticed on the block that i have a dowel-pin on one side (the cam-belt side) and an empty hole on the gearbox side (close to the #6 cylinder). the hole on the gearbox side seems machined and maybe there should be something in it?
i cannot find anything in the manual, but maybe i missed something?
thankful for all help i could get here.

From my memory, nothing goes there. Just the two dowels up top, and the oil restrictor on the one side. That hole is left alone. It is a oil drainback as far as I remember.

Take a look at Page 6-48 in the service manual;).

Looks like you have it right:).

THANKS A LOT!

i couldn't see anything in the manual, but it seemed better to have it confirmed.

thanks again.
