i have an 03 nsx, its running like trash, constant misfire, changed plugs , coil packs, injectors, it seem s like the problem is only in cylider 1&2, engine codes are (oxygen sensor high volts bank 1 sensor 1) cant seem to figue that out been through 3 new sensors already , and other code is random misfire n manufacturer controlled ignition, please if anyone has ant experiene with these issues please share some info , will be greatly appreciated

Please explain why you think it is cylinder 1 & 2.

Have you done a compression test or leak down test?

Have you replaced the ignitor?

Have you changed the Misfire Detection Module?

Are you servicing it, or is it at a shop?

Where are you located?

Regards,

compression test done - all cylinders are perfect
iginiter changed , never changed misfire detection module , car has 9k miles , it seems like timing could be off not really sure, has a hesitation when u rev it , and then the check engines light flashes (random misfire) and still gettn the code , o2 sensor high voltage any ides on that ???

Please explain why you think it is cylinder 1 & 2. ??

I would try the MDM, but have you had a fuel pressure gauge on it?

Tell me the fuel pressure

Regards,
LarryB

apparently the stock fuel regulator was not working , so i replaced it with an adjustable regulator , now the pressure is correct , but car still has a bad misfire and running like trash , so others think the timing could be off ..but i have done many nsx timing belts and never had a problem.

My 2000 had similar symptons. First it was an O2 code 152 or something. I replaced front O2 sensor, car ran fine for 100 miles or so. Then got multiple misfire codes 300 and 1204, 1205, 1206, which means cylinder 4,5,6 if I remember correctly. Checked the coils and changed the spark plugs, car ran fine for a couple of weeks. Then got another O2 sensor code 141 or 142, can't remember. I finally got tired and swapped out both front O2 sensors again. So far been running good for a few weeks now with about 200 miles since those issues. Cross my fingers issues don't come back. Thanks to Larry for recommending swapping out both O2 sensor even if it doesn't show a MIL for both.

What is apparently? It’s is either bad or it's not. What pressure readings were you getting, the regulator is very simple and a very low failure item. When trouble shooting a problem swapping in an aftermarket part the last thing you what to do. I assume the regulator you installed does not have a vacuum connection which could be the cause of your bog.

If you suspect the cam timing is off, just connect a vacuum gauge, it will be obvious.

But....you still did not answer my question: Please explain why you think it is cylinder 1 & 2.

fuel regulator deos have a vacuum line connected ,and fist suspected cyl 1&2 because when i have the car running and i pull the coil pack off the idle does not change ,same when i pull the injector harness off , but the idle immediately dops when i remove those off any other cylinder , when i did the compression test , those 2 cyl has the highest compression , i also swapped out both of the front o2 sensors,
--i removed the cats and have straight pipes with the rear o2 installed , could that maybe be cause for the 02 high voltage code ?

---please elaborate on checking the cam timing

Iginitor is a black rectangular box that sits near the throttle body. I had mine replaced after having difficulty starting the car.

Larry B - and all. Could someone explain to me what the "ignitor" is or maybe post a picture.

I posted a comment earlier where I am having issues where the car will crank but not start after I drive it down the road. I'd like to know what the "ignitor" is and see if that is possibly my issue.
