Engine Makeover: Pics

Hey Ross, let me know about the brace. I think I'm ready to buy if we can work something out.

Ross is suspended where as the other was suspended for a couple of days, but anyways if you want to get a hold of him call his number and talk to him.

sick engine bay:smile:

^ You should have the throttle body, alternator, coolant tank, blower, and the blower shaft all polished. :)

Looks great man!

1 advise, The one thing I see that is an issue with all the BBSC kits...the belt is to close to the Fuel line, if that belt snaps or was to roll off the pulley it would hit that fuel line with alot of force and momentum. I made a aluminum cover that goes over that supercharger pulley and covers it just to be on the safe side. I made one myself and got it welded.

Here is a picture of what it looks like and you can see how well it covers the belt.

Tiny meth bottle, how long does that last?

Thanks, I had concerns over that while I was installing it.

1 Gallon of liquid with 1 nozzle can last up to 1,500 miles on a street car.

I have the big jet installed on my AEM 1 Gallon meth kit. It totally depends on how heavy your foot is. When I was on the track. I'd drain about 1/3 of the tank in a 20 min session. I just always keep it topped off and have a bunch of boost juice sitting at home.

Really? I thought you had to get this massive can. So even if I track for a day a gallon might be enough? This is great news! Also, what is that AEM thing next to the bottle? a pump? All that looks like a nice tidy fit in the trunk. I like it!

A gallon should be plenty for a track day. What you see there is the Tank, Pump and the Meth Controller above the Pump. The location and configuration is the only way I would get the Targa Top to fit back there.

So it does fit... awesome! Is that all mounted driver's side on an SOS panel? does the AEM know if you run out of meth? This might be a dumb question but is there any danger in an accident fire-wise with a plastic jug and a gallon of methanol?

Yes, mounted on the SOS Panel on the drivers side. Yes, it can be wired into the AEM for a failsale. AEM also sells their own failsafe device.

I wouldn't be concerned in the trunk, not much chance of spark back there.
