Engine Makeover: Pics

Bought my NSX last September. The engine was untouched so I decided to add a little flare until I go FI.

Nothing crazy, just added a little color.

Thanks, I had the ARC Intake Plate on order too but after waiting 3 months, I learned they went bankrupt. So, I opted for the NSX-R plate instead :frown:

The NSX-R plate complements the valve covers well. Nice work.

..uhmm.. you probably should find a way to get a stiffener bar back on the car, otherwise looks good.

I meant to put it back on before our Coffee & Cars meet yesterday but completely forgot until I was on the road, DOH!

The color of the VHT color matches the oem type R manifold cover perfectly. I was also wondering where your rear strut tower bar went. But you already answered that question. Looks great.

The engine bay looks great. But like ross said those welds look funky. Remember its not only a reservoir tank, but an expansion tank also. you have an earlier na1, but a nice red strut bar would finish it off.

Ok lol I was wrong you have an na2 my bad.

I honestly didn't notice those welds until I took that picture :biggrin:

I'm not too worried about it, it's sealed and if it decides to leak.... well, I'll know right away :biggrin:

I'm going to pull that picture down, it's annoying me, lol

Still deciding on a aftermarket brace. I want a aluminum one (I like the look), but don't want to pay $900 for the SOS one. I might just have a local chassis shop fab one up for me. We'll see.

PM or email me what you would prefer (exe - square/round/rectangle - triangle shape or a-sematrical)

We can probably make it cheaper than a local shop since we already waterjet the flanges for the FSTB and we can build the part on our jig

BTW - if your going turbo ever... why not get the Turbo RSTB charge pipe we make...

Guy that bought it never installed his kit due to financial reasons.. I can always find out if he would sell his too...
