Just wanted to know whose's car this is. I think I read somewhere is either Vytas. My question is are these pieces chromed or polished aluminum. Also how was the alternator done. (By removing or on the car) Is it possible to polish or chrome the stock air box cover?

Thanks

That's my engine bay. Most of the parts are polished. From left to right:

Fuse Box: polished cover from Dali Racing
Coolant Bottle: polished from RM Racing
Throttle Body Cover: polished aluminum plate
Strut Bar & Strut Bar Bolts: chromed
Fuel Injector Rail Covers: custom made, polished
Intake Manifold Cover: polished
Manifold Cover Plaque: chromed with blue paint on raised letters and H emblem
Alternator: polished
Alternator Belt Cover: chromed
Two pieces forward of alternator: chromed
Engine Bay Electric Fan (not seen): polished

The airbox can be chromed. There is an outfit in Florida that does it. I may have this done but I need to find a spare airbox to use while it's done. It can take up to a month from what I heard.

Thanks Vytas,

Your engine bay looks amazing. Do you have the contact of the company in Florida that does the chroming.

I also have the dali polished aluminum fuse box, injector covers, little square guy and the belt cover as well as an RM polished manifold cover but my pieces don't look anywhere near as shiny as your pieces do. What do you use to keep the luster on the pieces.

Do you have any other pic of the engine bay from different angles. I'd really like to get a look at the polihed fan you mentioned.

Thanks

Johnny.

I'll see if I can find the contact info for the company in Florida. A friend of mine has the info.

I spend some time polishing everything quite often. The chromed parts just need a wipedown but the polished parts I clean with Blue Magic metal polish. Mothers Mag Polish works too but Blue Magic seems to do a better job.

I'll post more pics of my engine when I get a chance to get my car out of the garage.

Custom Coatings Corporation in Tallahassee, Florida will chrome plate the airbox.

Chroming the oem air box is not hard, doing a good chroming job and making sure the chrome doesn't peel is a different story.

This process is call "Vaccum Metalizing". Eventually the chrome will peel or even fade. Not a very good sight. I suggest that you Put a clear coat on it from a good auto body place and it shoud do the trick.id be care full where the clips or screws are on the box....if you tighten it too much it might create a spider or crack the chrome.
