Hope this is the right forum - if not I apologize!

Just a quick question for anyone who can help me out. My NSX was sitting for a week with the emergency brake up and I came back from the beach and took the brake off and the TCS and emergency brake light stays on. For some reason when I jiggle the brake it cuts off sometimes...however today I cannot get either light to shut off.

There is no check engine light -- just the emergency brake and tcs light - anyone know whats up?

I will be bringing this to steve gooding because I have heard such great things from him if I cant figure it out but any advice would be appreciated of whats wrong

Thanks!!

If you drive with the e brake up to where the e brake light stays on for long enough (several seconds), it will disable both ABS and TCS. That's about as far as I know.

Pull the clock fuse, reset ecu maybe. Check TCS fuse in rear hatch. My best guess.

It could be the e brake sticking. Hold the release button in and rapidly move the lever up and down a number of times to "loosen up" the linkage and the e brake assembly. Repeat with your foot on the brake pedal.

Next steps would be to clean/lubricate cables, then if needed clean the e brake assembly at the rear brakes, etc

Make sure you check the brake fluid level, that will also set the brake light on.
