Thinking on deleting the EGR completely. I done this on sevaral of my cars with no issues but theres a wire coming out of this one. Anyone done this? Will it throw a CEL? I'm thinking of having nice block off plates made. Is it really necessary to have on the NSX? Thank's for any input.

why bother?

I've always hated recirculating that hot exhaust. Basicly was just looking to clean up the ole engine bay. It's really not a biggie.

I believe its a very minute amount of exhaust gas that flows back thru the engine... Unless you're doing FI, I'd just leave it alone. :) Anyways its up to you.... It would suck to have to put it back on to pass your smog test! :D

No smogging here. {for now}. Thank's Brian, gonna replace the spool valve gaskets very soon so thought I'd throw out some trash. I'll leave it.

Can someone tell me why they would even bother with doing this? It doesn't seem to give you any benefits what so ever...

davidf, your logic is not correct. The purpose of the EGR valve is to lower combustion temps. Above 2500C, nox forms and the EGR is used to dilute and lower the combustion temperature to below this 2500C. Please leave as is, the skies are dirty enough and there is no reason to tamper with it.

LOL, yes I've decided not to touch it.
