Ecclestone sues Bahrain

Various news outlets have reported that Bernie Ecclestone has filed suit against the country of Bahrain.

"Our contract specifically states that political unrest or government overthrows are absolutely forbidden 90 days preceding any event" said Bernie.

Bernie announced a $1,000,000 fine, payable immediately, and further monetary damages are expected if he prevails in the courts.

Point's well taken but I'm pretty sure the lawyers didn't write a laughably clumsy clause like "Our contract specifically states that political unrest or government overthrows are absolutely forbidden........"

And even mentioning a $1 mill figure is ridiculous when you know the contract addresses liquidated damages in the tens if not 100's of millions.

Oh well, I'm sure he doesn't GAF what the public thinks. :wink:

Bernie's not going to collect the race fee, huh? Guess he's trying to maintain some relations and gonna try and shoe-horn the race back into the schedule.
