Drumroll: My 2004 White/Onyx NSX is here|

Re: |Drumroll: My 2004 White/Onyx NSX is here|

man, seeing all these nice cars in the garage makes me wonder... What do you guys do for a living to own such beauties in your stable?!?!

I was thinking the same thing!!

Re: |Drumroll: My 2004 White/Onyx NSX is here|

Thanks for the words - the car is undergoing a serious of mods so hopefully a new photoshoot will be in order soon.

Let's just say the toys include kevlar, JDM stuff, and new wheels/tires....

I picked up a 2-wheel toy to conserve gas so the NSX has not been driven much lately....will take her out for the Fish'n Chips event this Sunday to let her stretch her legs!

Re: |Drumroll: My 2004 White/Onyx NSX is here|

Well it's been 3 months since I took delivery of the car and I truly love everything about this car - perfect mix of exotic looks, awesome power and sound. That exhaust note brings back a grin that won't go away!

Anyways here's a picture of it after a few more mods since I took delivery of the car. Still awaiting my custom rims and a few other goodies.

More pics can be found in the link (look at my sig)

enjoy

I'm looking for a high quality Type-R CF spoiler right now :)

As for the hood, have to do some research to see who makes the best quality hood for this car, I want PERFECT fitment.

downforce carry them. more expensive than VIS and seibon . but i think they can guarantee something.

 LOL I can't buy a matching one since my g/f hates having to "lift" yourself into the seat. I'm going to try a EURO II first in red since I have this exact setup in my s2000. No one drives the NSX but me so I don't mind lifting myself into the seat but I don't want to teach passengers how to get into the car or risk them kicking the door panels, etc.

Damn, I want a white one, so clean!

G'luck finding a well documented 02+ nsx in white - I got lucky :)

Re: |Drumroll: My 2004 White/Onyx NSX is here|

Rick I have a downforce Gen II hood and their CF rear spoiler and the fit is perfect. So is the weave. Just like factory. If you are going to paint, get FRP top and CF bottom.

thanks buddy for the info - If / when I go with these body parts I will definitely go for DF~! I know you are picky so if you say it's perfect that makes me feel better. Is SOS the best place to order DF?

Synth19: Funny man  I figured I already have the correct rail and I know the Stradia fits so why not try the EURO II....if I don't like it I can easily sell it for the Stradia :)

I'm doing the Momo Team 300mm wheel as my next mod so gotta send Erick the money.

Yeah SOS is handling all DF now. I have full CF painted and it looks good but some say the FRP will hold paint better. Over time they say the CF weave will start to show through the paint, although that may be cool in itself. The first DF hood I got was not a good fit. They re-did the mold and the new one fit perfect with no adjustments needed. Its been about a year now and no issues. You will for some reason have to drill out holes for the windsheild washer nozzles.

The wing... I recommend the exact R replica. There is another version with stubby ends that fits into the factory trunk groove better but I don't think it looks as good nor probably functions as well as the way Honda did it originaly. I am sure Honda engineers knew they could make the front legs shorter and have it fit into the trunk slots but decided not to anyway.

Best quality hood would be Procars NSX RR Hood. I can vouch for their Hood, I have a NA1 Procar Hood, I bolted on the hood without aligning any of the fenders and it was a PERFECT fitment. I also installed a downforce cf hood and the was a pretty poor fitment, I just let the body shop align the fender to make the hood fit.

This NSX is one of the cleanest ones I have driven, when Paul owned the car. I still have the video clip of the 5.1 exhaust when I first installed on the car, one of the best sounding exhaust.

Very nice indeed. But where's the rear lip?

Re: |Drumroll: My 2004 White/Onyx NSX is here|

Very nice indeed. But where's the rear lip?

These wheels were custom made for me in offsets that will clear the Brembo BBK's. Most of the time there's a trade-off at some point cuz too much lip and the offset will make the wheel spokes too close to the brake calipers.

My e46 m3 has 19x10" rear wheels that have a nice 3" lip and clear Brembo's but if for example I wanted a 4" lip, then the wheels won't clear the calipers anymore (aka. my set of Maya rims with a 4" lip on rear wheel)
