thanks for the passionate replies concerning roll cages/ bars however many tracks now will NOT let a car out without some form of rollover protection so I was curious as to there usability.

NSX already has it built in, a very strong passenger compartment, even the T top configuration.

Those tracks will also not let you participate without a helmet!

Another option is to get only the 3" competition lap belt and run it in addition to the stock belt. Tighten up the 3" to hold you much better in place. It won't be like riding in a Kirkey race seat, but it'll be better than stock and you still have the option to move your upper body. Many instructors strongly urge you not to use competition shoulder harnesses unless you have a rollbar in the car.
