I thought it would be cool to get as many owners to take out their NSXs today, even if just for a quick spin to let the world see one of Ayrton Senna's greatest contributions and to honor his tragic passing 20 years ago. I'll be driving my NSX on errands I usually do in my daily but today will feel special.

The weather is awesome here in San Antonio so I'll do it.

Drove mine in the rain. Senna drove the best in the rain, fitting tribute...ok so the real story was the wife's car is in the shop, so dhe took my TL, so I had to drive the NSX. Still fitting to drive the NSX.

Took her to work today, and thought about Senna as I was driving her

Well .. if mileage is an indicator, I thought about him a lot today .. 380 miles worth. But I also took her to an import meet last weekend .. multiple generations of GTRs; Supras; RX7s; Evos; STIs .. with lots of unusual imported RHD vehicles. I only went as a spectator but near the end I did a slow drive through and in spite of all the other eye candy, people were tripping over themselves trying to get pictures/videos on their phones. All this for a 23 year old car with nearly 200k miles on it. I was probably one of the oldest guys there by a couple of decades and my car was probably older that some attendees .. but it still gets their attention.

Man! I think I now understand why some of you guys daily your NSX, after driving mine on common errands and things I usually reserve for my daily yesterday I realized how much nicer it was to be doing those things in my NSX. It made every annoying little trip from store to store a little funner. Sitting in traffic and looking over at someone giving me the thumbs up made traffic a little more tolerable. Everything about it was just that much nicer when in the NSX. My fear is still door dings, leaving it unattended in a parking lot, sun damage, bird droppings, etc, but after my experience yesterday I plan on driving my car more than just occasionally and I also have much respect for those of you who daily yours.
