Door closing problem

I'm having a problem with my passenger side door, and I couldn't find any threads detailing a fix...
The door seems to close okay, but it doesn't sound right, and doesn't quite latch properly. It will stay closed, but looking at it from outside, you can see its not closed all the way. As far as I can tell, this is a problem with the catch on the end of the door, and not the door handle-that seems to be working fine. Anyone ever have a problem like this?

Have you tried looking at the door position and striker adjustments on pg 20-18 of the svc manual?

check to make sure that the bolts that are holding the latch on the door jamb and the bolts on the door holding the lock mechanism on are not working themselves loose.. this is a common problem and can cause a similar problem to what you're experiencing plus cause damage to the paint if you don't catch it in time..

Good point. I found that in the FAQ section.

My email notification isn't working, sorry for not responding sooner...I remember that section of the FAQ too now that you mention it. I will check that when I get home. I don't have the Service Manual, so I can't check what is on pages 18-20, sorry.

I just fixed the problem WOoHoo! I remember reading about that problem in the FAQ too, it just didn't come to mind until you guys told me. The bolts were only a little loose, so there was no scratches.
