Hey! A little equal time...
What's the name of this forum? Track talk or Smack talk
?
Yes, that's me in the familiar silver NSX above...
Wouldn't it be easy for NCDOGDOC to manipulate the order of the above pix and offer random fictional commentary... the shot that the silver NSX isn't in is probably when I pitted for a driver change, so Maria could come out and SPANK the boys
!
Glad to hear someone got some footage of my little off at Oak Tree. Very entertaining, I'm sure. The track steward actually complemented me on my save (a little wiggle in the grass) and subsequent re-joining from the south pit lane (very safe). I believe my comrades, DONYMO and NCDOGDOC, leave a little of the story untold by not mentioning their own offs! Gary flung the TrackRat off at T17, the run onto the front straight, in a valiant effort to stay in front of me! Needless to say, he gave up a great deal of track position while mowing the pasture
!
Indeed, the TrackRat shows great pace, and it is interesting to note that we were making equivalent lap times (I couldn't catch Gary; he couldn't catch me)... The TrackRat is NA, totally stripped down, 400+lbs lighter than my Silver BBSC, which retains all of its creature comforts and complete interior, and mega hi-fi too! I was clocked in the 2:18s, not bad for first-ever outing at VIR. Can't wait to go back... truly one of the great road courses in the country!
To DOCJOHN: re: the minimum ground clearance you see beneath my front spoiler... I have the TEIN RA Trackmaster set-up with 5oo+lb front spring rates, and the DALI 23mm track bar! You can generate some big cornering loads in many places at VIR. And, Don is right, my Speedlingerie has been patched and repaired numerous times! It is really impossible to keep from making contact if you use the car seriously...
To NETVIPER: I LIKE the 'ugly' hood on the TrackRat... if you know Gary, it really puts it in context...
