i was wrong, it is not a 22 step process, but a 23 step process for the factory paint. please see the last paragraph in this press release http://corporate.honda.com/press/article.aspx?id=2002042452406

it doesn't detail the steps however.

When I was shopping for my NSX I Wanted red. Once I saw the Spa Yellow Pearl in the sun I knew that was THE color to have. It is different, like the green, blue and orange and gets a lot of great comments. It comes down to personal preference, there is no right or wrong. Buy what get you excited, not what others see as special. This is for you...no one else.

We love our Rio Yellow - not even sure what color we would have chosen if it hadn't been an impulse buy, other than *not* black :biggrin:

Though I think the yellow interior is a little overboard, we like the Onyx.

Yellow looks great on exotics. A yellow Nsx was creeping behind me on the freeway and it looked lovely. Red and Yellow draws crowds like no other.
