Do you guys feel like the NSX will look totally dated?

The design lasted for 16 years...and the ZO6 is still using the design.

Definately not Out Dated. Its more of a fine aged wine!

NSX dated?

Now we have to wash your mouth out w/ soap. Don't ever say that again!

I think it's one of those timeless designs. It will look good for years to come.

Because it looks old and dated doesn't mean it's not a cool car. I'd take a Testarossa, or an 80's 911 slantnose in a HEARTBEAT. Both examples are dated but in a very cool way...a way that makes them both instant timeless classics.

IMO though, the older NSX do look very outdated (in stock form) but some very simple body mods can fix that. I know everyone is very opinionated on this board but you can't deny the the fact that popup headlights and 15 or 16
inch wheels are old news for sportscars by today's standards. All very simple fixes... If you ask people of different ages, you'll get different answers and that's what makes this board unique...the wide range of ages that all still love this car.

One thing that remains old even on newer NSX's are the interiors. It reeks of the 90's but I understand alot of people like it that way. A local NSXer loves it and I don't like it. He attributes this to our age difference. To each their own...

These pictures speak for themselves though, the NSX (exterior with some tasteful mods) still looks just as good as most of today's cars if not better.

When I see a Ferrari Testarossa, I feel like the car is very dated. It just looks old, imo. When do you think the NSX will look old, if ever? Or, is it a true timeless classic?

Can a car be both dated and timeless? I think the Testarossa is dated, but I like the design. Another dated car which I think is dated and timeless is the Lamborghini Countach (especially with rear spoiler/wing).

I wonder if people think the Ford GT looks dated? Afterall, it's a design from the 60's.

I get lots of compliments on how my car looks and people always asking if it is a new model from Acura or Honda. And my car is 16 years old.

I love the NSX since it was first introduced. Some of you pointed out that the interior is aged looking, especially the steering wheel, which I recently changed.
My son thinks the tail lights look aged. What do you think?
I thought the end to end LED center brake light was the coolest thing when it was introduced.

I believe it still holding its own. Definitely gets 2nd looked even compare to later cars. Getting totally dated... well unless cars start hovering:biggrin: I think it will be awhile yet before it will be considered looking dated. Agreed some parts needs to be refresh.

I was at the workshop 3 days ago having my brake pad changed. A man came to me admiring the car. We got into a conversation and I told him I'm considering to repaint parts of the car which is getting scratches or maybe repainting the whole car. He looked suprised and asked why I want to do that to a new car!? Should have seen his face expression when I told him the paint is original since it was bought 16years ago! He probably looked confused more then suprised actually.

Hey guys, what bumper is this??? I like this setup, especially the rear wheels, the fronts could push-out a little bit more, but wow, this car is hot.

thanks
