do upsized 17/18 volk CE28N wheels perform as well as stock 16/17's?

FYI - 19x10 TE37s and Advan RGs weigh the same as stock 17" rear wheels.

Robbiedawg - Try unclicking the caps lock and i'd go with a 17x8 front and either a 215/40-17 or 235/40-17.

Thanks Billy, your professional input is greatly appreciated. Why would you go with the extra 1/2" of width up front? Going with the 235/40-17 front would also allow Poteza RE-11's to be used, adding one more good tire. I have them now and like them a lot.

Its a better wheel choice for 215/40-17 and 235/40-17.

What do you guys think of the 17/17 setup front and rear, like the 2002-2005 cars? SOS offers that as an option too, in suggested widths of 7.5 front and 9.5 rear, each .5 inches wider than stock. What tire sizes would work on that? Just pondering options.

I have 17/17 wheels for street and track...track is 235/40 and 275/40...street is 215/40 and 255/40. Both work fine.....as always 235 rubs on 3/4 lock.

Stock is 7" wide front and 8.5" wide rear -(for every option except 02+ which was a 9" rear and a 255 vs. a 245 used in the 8.5" rears).

I'd recommend 8" and 9.5"+ f & r.
