Disabling TCS

I'm aware that one can disable the TCS via disconnecting the unit located behind the rear fire wall panel. My Q is: would merely pulling the 15 amp fuse in the engine bay fuse box achieve the same result? Or does one need to do both?

Thanks.

Mine is disconnected at the throttle body.

At start-up, wait until the amber TCS light on the dash lights up, then it is okay to drive without fear of the ECU defaulting to "limp" mode.

tcs code does not put ecu in 'limp' mode. Only more major codes will.

Concerning the fuse thing... I haven't looked at the wiring diagram but I imagine it would work if that was the only fuse. But what's wrong w/ pulling the plugs?

That is what I said... Read my post again....

When the computer recognises that the TCS is unplugged the amber TCS light is activated and the ECU will function normally as it has analysed that it is just the TCS that is not working.

If you drive off BEFORE the ECU has processed the TCS code i.e. light is not activated, the ECU will reduce the the RPM limit (i.e. go into a "limp" mode) until you re-start the car and allow 10-15secs for the ECU to process the TCS code before you drive off.

Thanks, guys. Au NSX--where exactly is the connector at the throttle body located? Is it one of the 2 large gray connectors on top?

It is the large square/rectangular one.
