Disable ABS pump?

I have the dreaded 5 seconds on, 5 seconds off of the screaming ABS pump. I can't find a used ABS system and don't want to pay for a new one so I thought that I would just disable the ABS pump until I find a good deal on a used one. I've read that if you pull the fuse the pump will run for 2 minutes and then stop. I would like to know how I can disable the pump completely so that it doesn't come on at all. Cut wires?

Even though my ABS light doesn't light, my ABS no longer works. If I try to engage ABS, my tires just lockup and slide. Exercising the ABS system is no longer an option.

You can pull Fuse 30 for the ALB pump or you can pull the ALB motor relay or unplug the connector C311 wires white/blue and Black near the pump. All will keep the pump from running but you will get the warning light.

I have the same problem. Which one is fuse 30? I found 2 pcs 20amps ALB 1,2,3,4. also found main ALB fuse w/ 40 amps. Which of these should I pull out to disable the pump?? Thanks in advance.

hey Briank,

Thanks for your help. Took out the 40amps alb fuse. I started the car and so far it looks ok because the tcs/abs light is off. I'll probably drive it later and see if the abs pump will still make those grinding noise. I really appreciate your help.

Regards,
Henry

If the pump runs with the fuse #30 out you will need to call for an exorcism.
