hey anyone wants to do group car detailing??? we can get great deal if i can get over 10 nsx cars.... full detail should be around 120 to 180 but if we can get 10 cars. i should able to get awesome deal under 100.00..... location: mission viejo, Ca

sorry! why would u want a pay 150 for detailing if you can get full detail by Meguiar's Signature Detailing shop at Lake Forest for under 100.00 that's in the warehouse with no dust or under the sun. I had it done yesterday and drove all day in rain and its still shinneeeeein. Meguiars using some top of-line clay to make it work like new car and they are using new product with interior leather cleaning smelling like new car, not like reg. detailor using low product like armorall =(

No offense intended because I think your intent was to offer the community another option... but putting a plug in for another detail shop into this thread about getting a group buy done at another detail shop seems a bit uncouth to me. Again, I think your intent was good but there's a time and a place... and this aint it.

There is no commercial interest by anyone in this thread, if there were a commercial interest the thread-starter would be a supporting vendor, and would have a vested interest in getting cars detailed - this is not the case here, it is simply a member of prime trying to help other members of prime out with a cost-effective detail (by setting up a group 'detail' of sorts)

The intention of my reply was to suggest an alternative to the meguiar's location, a detailer who was recommended to me by a fellow nsx owner, and whose work I felt pleased with - if you can get meguiars to give you a group discount on a detail certainly other detailers might be willing to offer similar discounts, and with a starting amount of only $150 for the inside and out it seems to me their discounted rate could be lower than the rate offered by meguiars, although this is only speculation. I had a porsche detailed by meguiar's, and (though I was very pleased with the results) I feel the job done on my nsx by the above detailer, who came recommended to me by another nsx owner, was at least on par with the previous job done on my 993 by meguiars.

If this were a classified post I could understand your reaction, Da Hapa, but this is not a classified post - nothing is being sold here, a member of nsxprime is trying to help other members of nsxprime out with a service, I do not see the harm in offering my thoughts regarding a similar, local, service that might be able to offer better rates for a good detail job, if nobody is interested in using this detailer it does not matter to me, as I have no vested interest either way. Meguiar's does great work, and they have great detail clinics...

The thread was started to put in place a group buy for detailing.... how is it appropriate for you to offer alternatives within the context of that purpose?

Again, I believe that your intent was good and that you were merely offering the community an alternative. However, I don't think offering that alternative within the body of another thread which is trying to start a group buy is the appropriate place. Starting another thread would have been entirely appropriate.

We're making a mountain out of a mole hill to be sure, and the only reason I responded again was to ensure that you knew I had no ill intent with my posts. I was merely offering my opinion and as the old saying goes... opinions are like buttholes...everyone has them and they all stink.:smile:
