DDM 55w HID kits - Best price here! $155 shipped.

Well, turned out to be another plug'n'pray-installation.

My H1-bulb (in my EUDM Accord, not the NSX) is placed in an adapter. The spring securing the bulb, is locked over the wings of the adapter, and not the bulb itself. Se pics.

Any good suggestions for solving this problem easily? I could dremel a similar adapter to fit (as I do not want to destroy the OEM one) but cannot find anything like it on the net.

these?

maybe SAW can find a source for those that need em.

Received my 3000k H11s today and installed them in about an 1hr. I have to say that the slim igniter design makes for an easy install. I did have to mess around with the plugs as the original power supply was the wrong type plug. I just replaced it with the one supplied and everything works great. When comparing them to my McCulich 6000K in my NSX they are not quite as bright however they are half the price. Great Product and fast shipping.

3000k by nature is going to be less bright than 6000k. A 35w 3000k kit puts out about 2400 lumens, while the same kit in 6000k will put out about 3100 lumens.

here's where you put the paperclip to release the terminals that need to be switch

I ordered the 10,000K and they were not as blue/purple as my previous 8,000K @ 35W  Shouldn't it be almost purple? Quality seems better as these have not flickered like my other ones.

I'll compare it to the 5000K i purchased for the newer 2008 accord tommorow when i install it.

As I responded in the email, there is a two-fold issue that they don't seem as blue.

1. 55w kit burn hotter (ie: whiter) than 35w kits. Therefore, a 55w 10k kit, might only seem like a 35w 6k or 7k kit

2. The human eye takes LARGE amounts of light (like that displayed in a 55w kit) and sees it as bright white. The huge amount of light overloads the rods and cones that are accustomed to darkness at night.

This is why 55w kits seem more white than other 35w kits.

Dangerous post. Someone who doesn't know better will actually try that.

Why is that dangerous? Looks fine to me. Insert paper clip and the wires will pop out so you can reverse them in the plug.

Worst comes to worst someone somehow manages to screw up for some mysterious reason and it pops a fuse. No chance it'll give anyone a shock or anything.

Koolaid,
i recommend a friend help you with the headlight I/O switch while you reverse the polarity just to be sure it works. it'll cut down time.

Do you have even the SLIGHTEST clue what this thread is even about or what the plug is for?

Other than a old rock band, do you even have a clue what AC/DC is?

Since you've made your single post for the year, feel free to disappear again. So did you hit "187 mph" on your way home from "dailygrind" again? Don't answer, it'd just be an invitation for you to stay. Definitely wouldn't want that now, would we?

Very easy install. i used mine on my motorcycle. EXTREMELY great for night riding!!!

There would be no power going to the plugs so, using a paper clip or other small pointed object would not add any danger.

Well, goes to show what I know. I guess this is the reason why the numbers I crunch have units before the numbers and not after.

For those of you who know, I'm sure you could see how I could think it was dangerous. I thought it was someone's idea of a joke.

Anyway, KooLaid & OP, thanks for explaining. Push in, release wires, switch wires. Learned something new. Everyone else, thanks for the sarcasm.

After making the installation easy by removing the headlights, I'm pleased to say that this kit has meet my expectations. I did the wire switch as described and the light output is great.

I had my first hiccup last night. However, I did something I NEVER normally do. I fired up the headlights with the car off, while they were warming up in the blue phase, I started the car. One of them did not light. All I did was turn the light switch off, then back on as a fix action. Voila, there was light.

So avoid having your headlights on when starting your car. I knew it was a stupid idea but I did it anyways.

Even with that, I'm lovin' it. These suckers seriously are BRIGHT white in comparison to any of the others I've seen around.
