So I removed my center console, installed my usb to the alpine head unit. Checked to make sure it working, all was good. I am assembling the console, still working, install the second screw in the heater control and poof! The radio shuts off and the valentine 1 starts constant alerting?! I shut it all down, turned on the ignition and again, no radio, v1 blipping and the power antenna goes up a few inches then back down a few times? I checked the radio fuse in the kick panel, under the hood and it's all good, no blown fuse that I can spot. So anybody have any ideas? What is the connection between the V1 and the head unit? The v1 is hardwired to the left kick panel aux.

so far everytime you touch you car there are issues, do you know what your doing? just drive it stop messing around with it.

U must've wired something wrong somewhere. Or kink it. Undo the screws, check for kinked wired on the back of the radio. Re check every fuse from under the hood, kick panel AND in the engine bay. Good luck.

I'm going to give that a shot tonight when I get home. I'm sitting in my office wondering if it's the acc connection in the ignition switch? Probably overthinking it but the aftermarket amp isn't powering up, the head unit and the power antenna is going up only a few inches then back down after I turn the key over. Thanks for your advice. I appreciate the input.

You could have shorted something out as well.

1. Completely disconnect your electrical components from any power.
2. Be sure none of your wires are exposed. Cover them with electrical tape, or (more preferably) use heat shrink tubing if you can get the tubing around the wire..
3. You could have pinched a wire somewhere, too. Inspect all of your wires for cut marks and repair it/them.
4. Once that's all done, use cable ties or tape to bundle your wires. That will keep the area "clean" and the wires will support each other for stronger "structure". Our cars are susceptible to vibrations, and you don't want loose wires flopping around behind your console.
5. Last but not least, check your fuse box to make sure the fuses are all still intact.
6. Re-connect everything and give it a try.

I've learned this lesson from experience......hope this helps!

Fixed! Thanks for the tips. I disconnected the battery and hooked everything back up. Everything is working properly. Appreciate the ideas and the forum contributors.
